Drop rate for nightfall exclusive still -blam!-ing horrendous
I was told doing a 200k of a nightfall would increase my chances of getting the nightfall reward. Well I did 3x 200k 2 100k and almost 20x regular nighfalls and not 1 -blam!-ing breytech osprey!!!!! This is the only thing that I need for wayfarer and it's -blam!-ing stupid that it's locked behind RNG!!!

Yeah if you find yourself playing the game because you want something specific and it because it’s fun, just quit playing the game. The RNG robs it of the fun of doing activities.

I ran it with myself, my s/o, and a random for about an hour to get both of them a rocket launcher. We only did speedruns with Well, Warcliff Coil, and melting point. After about 5 or 6 runs, they both got it. All in all, it is still RNG. Because it takes my teams an average of 10 mins to speedrun, I speedrun with fireteam medallion and boons. It would take more time and more communication to do 200k (I literally did most of my farming micless while listening to Queen). I was going to do 200k runs to get the ghost from inverted spire but didn't have time.

Got it on my 11th with a 260,000 + score. Fire team medallions and popping vanguard boons every run. We did the one high score run then back to back arc heavy weight runs.

It's all rng. For the most part their system works well. Took me 43 runs to get it after I did my gosh score one but in that time I did it with 8 people who all got it in sub 5 runs. Should be guaranteed drop after 20 runs.

3 RepliesI’m pretty sure others have said it, but you only need to do one score run to lock your RNG. After that you just need to do the songs + heavyweight (+ momentum if the nightfall works with it) until you get it.

I had to run the Strange Terrain NF 95 to 100 times this week to get the stupid Osprey Rocket Launcher for my WayFarer Title. Started out by getting 140k, then 179K then 267K runs with my 3 characters. Then ran scored runs, fast runs and every other run type you can think of with each character for at leats 15 runs each. Had different Exotic ghosts on and always ran with Boons on. I also grinded the hell out of this NF the first time it came up when Warmind came out for 8+ hours and never got it then either. I probably put more time into this NF (about 20 hours) than I have in some raids!

1 ReplyIt's one of the last things I need for wayfarer and I ran it a couple of times last night with no luck. I've seen several people say it took them 20 or even 30+ runs to get it and now I'm real worried I'm going to miss out on the wayfarer title just because of this thing.

There's a way to farm some of the bosses for strike specific loot. I did ot with clan mates awhile back for a shotgun (mindbender's...I can't remember the name). Got a coulple of them in an hour, even the fixed roll MW version.

The grind for weapons and armor was fun....for a short time. But you are so right this is insane now as far as drops and the grind to get them. RnG.....right..... Remember when Activision just said recently that they were "disappointed" in sales? Then Bungie comes and says "sales are fine, no problems here"! It was then that I realized that they dont have a damn clue man. They will tell us anything at this point. Black armory and the other 2 events is a clear sign that Activision is right and wants more sales and revenue. That's the whole point of this "annual pass". Isn't that such a coincidence that this shows up in season 4? And the fanboys...."but...but....they are supposed to make money somehow "? Yes, I totally agree. But to sell us more shit and have us constantly grind for shit we cant seem to obtain regardless of the grind? Hamster wheel indeed.....
