How to get your FIRST Forsaken EXOTIC
Take a damn break.
No seriously, it works.
I took a break and returned and got Two-Tailed Fox from the Flashpoint reward.
My brother has done it multiple times and has gotten Wavesplitter and Queenbreakers in [u][b]one day[/b][/u]. He’s also gotten Trinity Ghoul and some others.
It doesn’t sound like it makes sense, but if you really think about it, it does...
I grinded my a** off in the first couple days of Forsaken-got nothing. Many others have been in the same boat as me. Then, people have been saying that their [u]friends that barely play are getting new exotics (my friend got Shards of Galanor and only has one character at about 505 light.)[/u].
This is such a Bungie thing to do. Reward players who barely play so they are enticed to play more. And don’t reward grinders and players who play daily so they tell themselves “if I keep playing, I’ll eventually get one”.
Maybe I’m delusional, or maybe I’m right. All I know is I’m sittin here with my first forsaken exotic while others have none.
So take a break, and get some exotics.

Edit 3: I see many people asking how long a break you should take-when I got TT fox, I took a 3 day break. I played some GTA V with my brother and some battlefront 2.
My brother however took a week break and got wavesplitter and queenbreakers.
In conclusion, higher break, higher reward. If you don’t mind straying away from Destiny, then 1 week break is for you. If you like looking forward to your daily [u]shooting shït in the face[/u], then take a shorter break.

I've heard others say this exact same thing. But then that would dispel the myth of the hardcore being more rewarded than the casual player. Some people have the mentality that grinding for thousands of hours to get one exotic means they earned it that they're more skillful. We all know that Destiny rewards has, is, and will continue to be about random RNG luck. I've never played Forsaken. I could start today and have the possibility of getting a new exotic. Hardcore player Casual player it doesn't matter you're all in the same boat.

3 RepliesBungie does not reward commitment, well known fact. When D2 first launched and the masses left, my clan mates left and returned briefly some time later. They dropped more exotic loot than I had put together, when I carried on playing. Bungie punishes commitment and bribes leaving player's to return!!!

Taking a break from this time wasting simulator is the best thing I’ve done as far as gaming goes. I have hundreds of hours played in Forsaken and still don’t have the two exotics I wanted the most. (One Eyed Mask and QBB) This is week 12 of this DLC and people are still getting -blam!-ed out of loot. I completely ran out of -blam!-s to give because there’s too many other good games out to be wasting time on this boring ass game. ✌🏽

4 RepliesCan confirm. I played everyday. Nothing. Took a 4 day break. Got 3 forsaken exotics in 2 days, maybe 7 hours of playtime. My friend on the other hand has played everyday since launch and nothing for him.

He's actually right. I played 14 consecutive days and got sweet FA. Took a week out albiet on holiday with the wife, and got 2 forsaken exotics within the hour. Maybe complete coincidence but also plausible bungie would do this to entice players back from cod, fifa and rdr2

Showed my friend this and he logged on after a few months and just saw him get 2 exotics in 1 pvp match and another in a strike -_- imma stop playing for a while. Not like I’ll miss much anyway and log back on and see what happens lol

1 ReplyCan confirm. Have just been playing my titan, grinding and grinding and grinding. Decided to level lock and in one session got 4 exotic drops over about 4 hours. 3 were yea one drops and 1 forsaken drop. Jumped on the hunter I haven't played in ages. Did the heroic story in dreaming and boom shards of galanor. Might leave my titan alone for a bit and see how we go.

Hell yeah, I’ll take break, stupid game. I finally landed a Forsaken Exotic, Ursa Furiosa gauntlets, I about fell out of my chair! Thought my luck was changing... nope, scored a duplicate Fighting Lion next, lmao. If this is truly the case, I will quit playing this yard sale of a game. It makes sense now, I’ll play with clan mates on occasion who are rarely on and they’re sporting a bunch of new exotics and laugh at me when I say I have only one.

I've noticed that Exotic drops from enemies themselves have decreased significantly since I've gotten higher in Power. I suspect that's because more enemies are up to your Power, or higher, and are considered challenging opponents. Challenging enemies have a higher chance of dropping Legendaries and Exotics. I wanted to test purposely putting myself at a low Power like I was at the start of Forsaken and seeing if I get similar results. The game may detect you can go higher than what you have equipped with gear you have in your Inventory and Vault, so you might have to transfer gear to Alts so they don't register.

1 ReplyAfter I read this , to be honest I done exactly the same thing cuz I have school. I done this already. Because of college , I’m putting my grind time on homework for 4 -5 days. Here’s my schedule school on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. Monday Wednesday Friday hit the gym and cardio. Now I log back on either Sunday or Monday which are the only times I play D2, grind all my powerful loots, here I am with no forsaken exotics not including Malfeasance, Ace of Spades, Wishenders, Chaperone, and the mighty thunder lord cuz i either completed those quests or have those in a works in progress. The only one I got [u]excluding[/u] the exotic quests is Cerberus. So if RNG is bad for y’all and y’all trying with that method, you guys are damn lucky for getting them trinity ghouls or shards of galanors or two tailed fox in reference to Naruto and I’m proud of ur guys RNG cuz I have no luck with forsaken exotic from them exotic engrams . ([i]Please note that I’m excluding the exotic quests because a bunch of them are fairly obtainable[/i]) so plz very much no saltiness over the exotic quests.

Coincidence, its RNG after all. I play on average +/- a hour a day and no extended brakes, spent weeks without seeing one exotic (old or new) but then got 3 in one day and another in the next, then running dry ever since. The first one on a hunter while doing a strike with a friend, while they skipped everything they could, i was just calmly killing as i went, a TT Fox drooped midway, my friend got salty about it and left. Went to play a bit with my second Char. a Titan do one or two milestones then leave. Ascended Challenge gave me the Ursa Furiosa from there went to do the blind well, on completing a T4 got the innermost light. Next day went to play a match or two of gambit to, at the time to advance the Malfeasance quest, got a Trinity Goul from a blocker, Did not get another exotic ever since (quest ones apart).

Last night my Titan got another Borealis, it's first exotic drop in 2 weeks from the blind well bounty. Except my heavy was full, so went to post master (not full) and it wasn't there Guess even duplicates aren't obtainable at times 🤔

The exotic drops have basically stopped me from playing. And by the time black armoury comes out that will be me done entirely.

Yep, been playing fallout 76 since release. Loaded up destiny and had 5 exotics drop all within 24 hours. I thought I had imagined this, but I'm glad I'm not the only one with this imagination.
