Forsaken Exotic Drop Rate. Why Can't I seem to get one?
So. I'm a pretty avid D2 player. I have my hunter at 600. Still am doing powerful gears. Have done the raid, and the shattered throne. But the only Forsaken Exotics I've gotten were quest ones. I haven't gotten a single random drop exotic at all since the expansion came out. I decided to do the nightfall with a friend. I finally got a random drop exotic. But despite the rarity of getting a year 1 weapon duplicate. I got Telesto. So I still have yet to get a Forsaken Exotic. And The one drop exotic I've gotten all season was one I already had. Debating on dropping the game tbh. Does anyone have a suggestion on getting Forsaken Random drops? Or is my RNG just that bad.

I am in the same boat, since the antidupe update i have only gotten a total of 2 RNG exotics, the queenbreaker and the le monaque, and i really want the skull of dire ahamkara so i can just nova spam

OP: My RNG sucks and I'm frustrated doing all milestones for nothing Posters: Do the milestones and they'll drop OP: I just said I do them Poster: But I got the stuff so it must work for you too. Obviously you're not. RNG is a bunk system. It's like trying to roll a 47 on a 500 sided dice. Your odds don't go up per every time you don't get a drop. It's the same bad drop rate every time. It would be much better if every milestone that didn't drop an exotic bolstered our exotic drop rate, but that's too much for Bungie.

It's not just the exotics that are screwed up man. I just got 3 dust rock blues back to back...to back. For my daily heroic, flashpoint, and strike powerful engram. All at 595. Shit just sucks....

The last patch was supposed to give more weight to armor to avoid duplicates...I’ve gotten 2 pieces for my Hunter and 5 weapons (with doops). Still no love for the Titan or Warlock.

Or is my RNG just that bad.[/quote] the only thing I can tell someone like you to help you out as a trend I've noticed in Destiny since the very beginning of the first game. If you log in every single week of the game the chances are that your drops are kind of dry and thin and crappy. The slot machine nature of the game has this tendency to hook you up if you take a week or two off. My best suggestion is to try that do not play the game at all for like 2 weeks. 2 resets. See if it doesn't start raining Exotics when you start logging back in. Then start pondering the psychological manipulation behind that

The only random exotic i've gotten since forsaken was Lone Wolf from a Spider Bounty

Don’t play for a day before reset and then jump in and do the spider bounty, if no exotic drops then go do the flashpoint, then go do something else for a bit, like petra bounties and some gambit, then go into the competitive playlist and do your five crucible games in comp. Do this every week for each character, once a character is done these activites, log off for the day and jump on with another character and do the same thing the next day. (I think the key here is to not play for more than 4 hours at a time) So far i’ve been successful with this method i hope this helps.

Edited by W33DEDPLAGUE: 11/15/2018 4:56:52 AMI replied a couple hours ago being in the same boat...400 hours, no forsaken exotics, then in blind well an hour ago, I finally got a queenbreaker from the heroic chest (not necessarily the one I want but at least it's a new one)...the point of me saying this is that instead of that feeling of excitement from a rare exotic drop, it's more of a relief and "it's about time" moment...I hope it's not another 400 hours before my next one, I think more changes may be in order

1 ReplyIt's just a bad system and bad RNG. I understand not handing out exotics but the drop rate is a little too low and the duplicate protection isn't enough. I was excited about the dupe protection and so far I've received two exotics since the patch. Both duplicates of exotics I already own. And neither one of them an upgrade. As a matter of fact the orpheus rig boots that dropped were power lvl 600, well that's funny because I had just infused the ones I was already wearing to power lvl 600. Disappointing to say the least.

I don’t even know where to begin on this topic. I’ve played everyday since forsaken was released, no joke, and I have yet to get one single new exotic armor piece for my hunter. I have repeatedly been given year one exotics. Other than the quest exotics I’ve received 4 new weapon exotics. Now I know I’ve received some but how stingy do they have to be? Just today the fire team I was in, and play with all the time, they both had exotic engrams waiting in the postmaster after both receiving the queensbreaker and wavesplitter no more then 10 minutes before returning to the tower and finding said exotic. Do I need to tell you what I got? I have many other stories I could tell but I’m sure everyone in the forum gets the picture. I’ll continue to play as usual with no expectations of getting anything good.

I have 11 Forsaken exotics, that includes the quest exotics: Chaperone, Malfeasance and Ace of Spades. Apart from actually aquiring Malfeasance and Thunderlord in the last month not a single exotic has dropped, not even a duplicate; I think I used up all my luck in the first two weeks when I got like 15 old exotics which I already had :s.

Its been 2 months or so since forsaken and besides the quests for ace of spafes, chaperone and thunderlord the only exotics i have received has been titan arms and warlock legs. I've not received a single exotic weapon at all. It's an absolute farse with the exotic drops, even with running fireteam medallions and boons you get nothing for it except the same weapon or piece of armour ive already got. Oh and the edge transit I'm sick of -blam!-ing getting it over and over again, drop me something that I might actually want to keep and use

Still dont have any new Exotics for my Hunter and Ive done just about every powerful reward every week since release. A little burnt out. Probably just quit for now and come back when Xur sells them.

I Know the feeling i just feel like quitting the game i havent seen an exotic drop within the last month or so we are with you their is Really no reason to play until the next dlc RNG is too trash right now if you choose to keep playing good luck but i will say this if RNG stays like this the next dlc i will stop Playing for good no reason to play a game with no endgame gear that i cant obtain

1 ReplyEven with the "boosted" rate - I've seen 3 duplicate exotics in the past week - nothing new. All I have left in the game is the exotics and hell if I am going to grind and grind to get duplicates and nothing new.

1 Reply2 Forsaken exotics pre ‘non duplicate’ patch. Zero exotics at all after that patch. So all I have left to do is grind old content I’m sick of now so that I can get an exotic to use while playing the same old content I’m sick of. Yeah, great incentive to keep playing.

Your problem is shared by the majority of the player base. Most of us have already reached max lvl and have little, if any, Forsaken exotics to show for our grind. Personally, I’ve had 3 exotic drops since the 2-5 patch. Received Queenbreaker and two duplicate exotics(Colony and Riskrunner) Both my Warlock and Titan have not had any Forsaken armour drop. None! I see why players are frustrated. I’m one of them.
