Rng for thousand voices
18 chests opened and still no thousand voices, I’ve carried people on their first try and they get it yet from what I understand I can continue to play and never get this weapon. This is frustrating especially since almost every YouTube content creator has this weapon. I believe I have earned it yet the design of the game says none of that matters, so I guess only pvp has legitimately earned weapons that give you that feeling of accomplishment, maybe this is a sign I should stop playing.

I went about 12 tries without it then I started holding keys to use all at once. Got it the first time I went to use all of my keys with the last key I had. -blam!-ing awesome.

1 ReplySave between 3-5 keys(5 is max allowed). Wait for 1 or 2 players to use their keys first. Then open very lop left chest and then very top right chest. (Hopefully noone opened them already). Got it my second attempt. I gor mine in the rop right and i have seen others get them in the top left as well as the right. Those seem to be the best ones to open.

Slowly start to HATE the Raid - Have done Runs with first-timers too and WTF the 4th time now that a First-Timer got the Thousand Voices and the Veterans get nothing.... The Motivations is so far down the road that ppl start to do Riven Only Runs or do not do them at all anymore. Reasons: 1. First-Time Runners have a higher chance 2. PPl that did not play Destiny 2 for about 3-Weeks up have a higher chance 3. Veterans that play the Raid Every Week seem to have a very low chance / On multiple chars. 4. After 15+ Clear Runs Raid gets boring AF 5. No reward to pull up with new players for veterans / Event Organizer / Guide - Seeker System SUXXX Solution: Super simple have a certain amount of full clears (All Bosses and Vault) to get the Thousand Voices as a reward - Take it away from Chest Loot Pool. Like this it is fair for everyone! No special Vendor Needed use the Trophies-system! So if you want it you earn it!!! No RNG involved!!! Best regards Sigma P.S. I too do not have the 1K-Voices seen too-many ppl get it the first time they run LW-Raid.

[/quote] I got mine on my 32nd clear. I too watched people we sherpa'd through get it on their first run and it was frustrating AF. I didn't get my Midnight Coup until my 50th clear of Leviathan. Seems I'm just in a sh*tty loot pool. What frustrates me is that there is no clarity as to whether one is guaranteed to be in a chest or two... or whether it's straight player based RNG. I think Bungie should clear that up; I'm really sick of the secrecy behind some of the stuff.... JUST TELL US how it works already! Also, I truly believe for pinnacle drops like this, your chances of getting it should increase with each full run you do. I think the player base has been LOUD AND CLEAR about the displeasure with grind to the point of being nauseating.

The whole rng thing is shit and needs rework. I still don't have the warlock boots and Orpheus rigs, which are a requirement for the Raid and have been kicked because I didn't have them. Bought Prometheus lens first week xur sold it and 1hr later my first exotic drop was Prometheus lens like wtf? Seriously remove exotics you have from the loot table and exotics like thousands voices, the chance of it droping should increase with the number of completions.

You should just get it on your first full completion of the raid. There’s lots of RNG in this game because there’s not enough meaningful content to play without grinding the same stuff over and over.

5 RepliesSave your keys. Don’t open any chests until your team can open them all. If your team opens half the chests and no Thousand Voices pop up you have double the chance to get one on the next pull. Simple math can get you far. You can carry 5 keys for a reason...

Ya it’s shitty. I don’t have it either. On this site tho you’ll get a bunch of people that either don’t raid at all or just cheese riven (and don’t do anything beyond kali) telling you you don’t deserve handouts or something. Drop protection exists on other elements of the game now like EP and nightfalls- why not the raid? Beating the raid the first time was hard now it takes less time than a nightfall to do a chest run (riven cheese + heart). For all those that love the ‘chase’ we’ve got all other forsaken exotics to go after- we don’t need the raid weapon locked too. The raid weapon should signal you beat the raid (full raid) and/or have some higher mastery over the activity- currently you see it and just think “oh lucky” [spoiler]Yes tons of people have like 5+ clears and can’t beat shiro on Xbox lfg at least. [/spoiler]

4 RepliesI've played the lottery every day for the last 6 months and still no jackpot. Other people have gotten it on their first try. I feel like I've earned it. They need to adjust the rates. See how stupid that sounds... drop rate is fine, some D1 players had hundreds of raids and no Vex, fatebringer or Gally. Pull up your millennial entitlement and keep at it if you really want it

We are all frustrated by RNG. What do you expect to receive from this post? It sounds more like whining with no corresponding suggestion. If you have a suggestion to improve the RNG for this post it in the Feedback section. Threatening to not play will have no effect on Bungie.

I don't mind certain guns being rare drops, it does seem that most people get it on their first or second attempt, otherwise the rest of us are left grinding. Honestly I don't care about this so much, it's not like people are saying must have this gun to complete raid or anything, or its so op I can't compete without it, so I'm fine with it
