General Destiny 2: Forsaken Feedback

As mentioned in the TWAB today, we are going to be making some feedback threads to help us track the community’s thoughts on the current state of the game, and what direction you want to see it move in. This first one is a wildcard. Tell us… whatever you want. Here are a few prompts, but feel free to write whatever. We will be back soon for some more targeted discussions. What have you liked most about Destiny 2 post Forsaken? What would you like to see changed in the future? What would you like to see added?

  • Give us back the iron temple!! And bring back artifacts. One of the things I hate about D2 is that you took away the iron temple and artifacts. These added a welcome change to the stail game play. And I loved the iron temple area. One thing D2 fails big time on is acknowledging and build on or past deeds. Sure you might hear in passing about that time you beat siva. But actual in game stuff is kinda missing. You should have found a way to leave the iron temple in game . We earned that it was a new mythology and area to the world. I would like to see things like that stay in game and be updated in future releases. Build on the world like war craft or big mmos, do. Dont scrap all of it

  • I am perfectly fine with waiting longer in a QP lobby for really good connection matches AND SBMM as long as no one is laggy and matches are close. I will wait much longer.

  • Can we possibly see the crucible map Eternity added to the quickplay playlist? Currently it's the only map limited to the competitive (and Trials, RIP) playlist. I'd love to be able it more frequently in quickplay clash/control. With the new "Trials" styled map Equinox being released and available in both competitive and quickplay, I don't see why we couldn't add Eternity into the quickplay playlist as well. Thanks, Ruhe :)

  • Update areas like the farm and the tower. Add to the areas you can explore, add new people to interact with even if they just provide lore, missions or add ventures for diffrent planetary stuff. Ass more resources per plant and add a market, diffrent prices diffrent vendors. Add scribes. They have tou hunt for lore itams then reword you. The farm is a wasted social space after tou beat the game. No one goes there but if you expanded the area. Show that it's been built up since the war at to the rang we can walk out to past the soccer field. I'd like to see this in the tower to, as the year goes on new doors and areas Re unlocked for us to explore. New secrets more secrets. Bigger mysteries

  • Forsaken is a welcomed improvement I do think 1000 voices should of been a quest like outbreak prime from d1. Its frusting when people get it on one drop and when others have completed 14 raids and all we get is apex predator is frustrating. There should be a way to slowly increase a players chances of getting loot over multiple completions.

  • Hey, since the exotic update, I’ve had 4 duplicates and one new exotic. What’s happening here? I thought it was suppose to help.

      Before giving any feed back on destiny 2 forsaken I want a response stating that someone from destiny team is reviewing their feed back, not some peon. Also this will give me a chance to see how much you truly value your community? Or if it's just a select few that you actually take their feed back from! Will see... Been 27 hours and no response from destiny team!

    • Brng solo playlist for quick play, competitive and gambit. This will probably resolve most of the backing out of matches problems that occur

    • I've liked most secret hunting in the Dreaming City. I've liked trying to earn a title. I've enjoyed PvP and the fixes to exotics. I'd like to see changed either the drop rate or the need for ships, sparrows and ghost shells for titles. A title should be earned not RNG. I'd like to see the exotics dropping from old raids. A problem D2 promised to answer was that old raids would always be useful and challenging. It was dry in warming when those were the main way to level up, sure. But the exotic drops from those raids should be year 2. Really no ingame activity should limit what year the gear can be. I would like to see added an ingame skill tanking for pvo game modes. I'm tired of going to Destiny tracker to see that. I'd like to see a real prestige or hard mode added to ALL the raid lairs and raids that do not have them. I understand the bounty for Last wish is there, and the triumph page makes some of those, but we all know the raid lairs prestige is CRAP. Id like to see catalysts added for all exotics. I'd like to see Xur EITHER sell the dated Engram again, but not Forsaken exotics, or to start selling exclusively selling Forsaken exotics one week per month. No repeats.

        i feel like for 1000 voices you should get an increased chance at getting it for every completion, kinda like EP, it's really aggravating when rng isn't on your side when your trying to finish the badge for the raid but bc the drop rate is so low i cant get my raid badge, not only that but then you'll get someone who only does the raid once and gets it first try and then you knowing you'll never get it bc rng, It's kinda bullshit. This will probably never get read, but it's just suggestion. Also fix the bug for Harbringers Echo bc it's bugged, I'm one of probably couple thousand possibly people to have it by now but cant use it bc the triumph is bugged (I.E. cant get it bc i destroyed the eggs on multiple characters.

        • [b]What have you liked most about Destiny 2 post Forsaken?[/b] - I wrote a rather extensive wishlist of items a few weeks before Forsaken came out and I’m pleased to report that many of those were incorporated into the game. My initial impression was “they read my mind”! I personally thought you guys hit the “Warden of Nothing” strike on the head, the most perfect strike I’ve ever played in Destiny. The campaign was brilliant, the most engaging yet. The hunting of lore in the wilds is also refreshing, especially going back to old worlds and kicking over rocks to find where Uldren had once been pre-Forsaken. Gambit is a solid winner, and while I haven’t completed the Malfeasance quest, the extra mission through the Corrupted strike and seeing new storytelling and secrets was definitely worth the 580 recommended power. The variety of new and updated perks for weapons and armor (Genesis, Light Arms, Timed Payload, Rangefinder) is also a wonderful thing to see. [b]What would you like to see changed in the future?[/b] - My next big quality of life suggestion would be, as I posted in the Gear feedback forum, the ability to modify your gear to have the perks you wish it to have. Random rolls was a choice that got items out of the purgatory of too much order, but landed us in the realm of chaos, with no real option for players to truly customize their loadout how they want under either system. We have a game with a potentially vibrant economy of consumables, so we should be able to use those to fine-tune the gear that drops for us so we don’t have to slavishly grind Gambit for the perfect helmet or sniper, but rather be able to customize the entire armor set or weapon to our needs once you have it. That would give players the ability to build power armor suits and weapons to fit their own unique play styles or to capitalize on a particular strategy without needing to rely on a great deal of RNG luck and time spent on a solitary activity at the expense of everything else this game has to offer. By all means, keep random rolls as a thing for when they actually drop, but the means to custom-build our own hardware once acquired would free us from the grind and let us go out and have fun and experiment and play how we wish to play, and oh, how I would experiment. Being able to custom choose each individual perk and Masterwork category in conjunction with the Mod system is definitely top-tier item I’d like to see changed. [b]What would you like to see added?[/b] - Ornamentation in the same vein as the IB, Vanguard, Crucible, and Faction armor sets in year 1 of D2. Seriously, flawless execution on that one. Pursuing ornamentation to change armor appearance while introducing one or two new sets a season is vastly superior to constantly chasing seven or ten new sets each season. Faction Rally was a top 5 favorite activity, I’d like to see that back. More strikes of the same master-level craftsmanship as “Warden of Nothing” (seriously, give the team that made that one a raise, they deserve it!). I’d like an expansion to Mercury, either in more explorative space (vertical exploration maybe?) or a more active role for the Infinite Forest. Ditto for Titan, the Arcology’s vast jungle interior is seriously calling my name. I’d also like the ability to customize my Sparrow’s perks without spending the resources to completely repurchase it, and to put the new destabilizers on older sparrows. I’d also like to have the jump ships play a more active role as your Guardian’s rolling arsenal. The ability for them to have cool downs for transmitting a clutch Heavy brick or drop in a Drake tank in certain PvE areas would give the Guardian access to the City’s hardware we so rarely see. Speaking of vehicles, maybe a few Crucible maps with access to vehicles again? Thanks you guys for making this game, I hope the suggestions help!

          • Pls tell us if bungie will allow file sharing across platforms am thinking of getting Forsaken on pc but it’s expensive 80 EUR , so if I can get my progress and gear like in PS4 I can do it other wise it’s not worth it

              Drop-rate of 1000 voices too low!!!! 20 raid completed, and not once did I get it!!! ... does it seem right?? Players who do it occasionally once, and get it right away....It seems right? Couldn't you have put a quest inherent in the raid? Now who has got it no longer has the interest to become crazy to get it, as a result those who still do not have it not failing to find people interested in doing the raid, and never get it. If it was a quest there was more willingness to help the next, because arrived at a certain step you got it for sure to 100%. Increase the DROP-RATE!!!

            • [u]Liked[/u]: barons, gambit, secret activities, raid [u]Would like to see changed[/u]: 1. unfair & frustrating situations like: return to orbit in the middle of time sensitive activities, competitive, gambit bounties where you need to win 2 games in a row and you already won the 1st, working to win the 2nd > returned to orbit or disconnected with some stupid animal named error, etc. 2. matchmaking has never been good, maybe in the future you find a better formula. 3. there should never exist activities without matchmaking versions of them. Make the matchmaking version easier and less rewarding but understand that not everybody is playing regularly with their friends and colleagues like your gang does. I would dare to guess more than 40% play solo, no reason to lock those activities or make it difficult for them to experience. 4. improve the app, make it possible to acquire bounties, make it possible to share bounties with fireteam members - no point in flying around in those glorified screen loaders just that everybody get the bounties from tower, spider, etc... [u]What to add[/u]: 1. Open world PvEvP with various objectives: the thrill of getting stuff done while watching your back for vicious guardians who might get you is something you never knew you're missing until you experience it. 2. This was somehow not explicitly specified before launching the first game in 2014, and people always asked, but ships should be more than glorified loading screens. Put them to good use, and put stats on them. 3. Don't put me ever again in the situation to feel sorry for spending so much money just to get the fixed game that should have been delivered at start with the normal price, or just fix it on Bungie / Activision's expense.

            • Here's an idea: don't ask for regular payments in the future, or if you do, don't name all the original content for which we already payed "legacy", because we didn't buy any legacy. We bought the real stuff, so call it the real stuff, and extra should be called extra.

            • I want additional patrol zones on all the older planets. Or additional areas opened up. Going forward I would like 2 patrol zones per planet. One when the DLC drops 2 and a second opens up .midway between the next dlc drop. I would like the same kind thing done with social spaces like the tower there are so many doors not opened. I would love it if as the year went on new areas of the tower opened up, we could discover new secrets and meet new people. Aot more could be done with social spaces in D2. I want that 4th subclass my number one issue is end game content. For me that's patrol zones being to small. My number 2# MAJOR issue is powers. We need a Roth subclass and a continues growth of or current skill tress. Not anuff options on how we play or ways we can use or powers. A new subclass a new element would really help the mediocrity we have now.

              Please make raid gear stand out from other armor sets and weapons. It sucks having to rely on RNG drops for something that should be a perk on the gear itself.
