It's only fair considering they can see us and get a damage boost and overshield

1 ReplyThe guardian radio podcast had two lead gambit designers on their show for an interview 2 or 3 episodes ago. They explained a lot about gambit and how they made it, and why they made it the way they did. I don’t know why Bungie didn’t make any sort of announcement, they seem to like to keep any sort of design or gameplay details that would clear the air or benefit players tightly under wraps. Or if they did make a post or something about it, I just missed it.

Invader shouldn't even see our locations if they get a -blam!-ing overshield.
-
Why would anyone ever invade then? They’d be in at 4 v 1 situation with four people shooting them the second they spawn.
-
You pretty much have a 50/50 chance of knowing where an invader is anyway.
-
No it's a 1v4 learn the spawns and you'll be fine.
-
Around 90% an invader comes in, I instantly kill him with my shotgun. Learn to play better instead of complaining.
-
1. Know the maps. Know where they could spawn in. 2. Keep an eye out n the mote bar. If they have 25 / 50, or are close to either, spread out and be ready. 3. During Primeval damage, spread out. Attack from key areas around the map and prepare for the invader. The invader mechanics are fine the way they are. Play smarter.
-
Nope. It’s 1 v 4. You need all the help invading you can get. Enemy teams should gear invaders, and for the most they do. Working as intended.

Edited by DHawk12: 11/2/2018 12:28:03 AMI will only agree to that if a spawn barrier gets put in to keep defenders from re-entering spawn and hiding together the whole time.
-
Why? Like provide a real reason and not just " he can see me and I don't like it". Its not like you know when the first and second invasions happen and that the invader is going to spawn in 1 of 3 spots or that sleeper and shotguns and snipers and supers and any other gun have no problem dealing with invaders as long as you have half a brain and thumbs.
-
The hell is the point of even invading then if you're just going to get focused as soon as you pop in?
-
-
YEAH! And while you’re at it, NERF FUSIONS

3 RepliesI'd prefer Bongo removed wallhack from the invader and gave it to the team he is invading.
-
Ummm.....no? Its 4v1 and you can kill them easily, not to mention the invader glows like the freakin sun. That and you can bottleneck the enemy into a specific spawn. Had someone do it to me recently and sleeper and queen breaker me back to back.
-
Think about it... There is 4 of you, 1 of him he's outmatched so him having wall hacks is a good buff for him and no the team being invaded dosnt need wall hacks otherwise the one invader would always be over ran
-
2 RepliesI’d prefer not, but instead, add a mechanic where invaders only see the enemy team for a set amount of time that’s based on the amount of motes a player has. If someone has 15 you should see them much longer than someone with 2 or 3

1 ReplyEdited by Bieltan: 11/1/2018 8:45:11 PM> They dont get a damage boost unless they are significantly higher power > Overshield wont stop Supers/Heavies from OHKing them > They glow bright red > THERES 4 OF YOU AND 1 OF THEM
-
2 RepliesEdited by GrundleBeans: 11/1/2018 8:43:18 PM4 against 1 is not more fair. I would rather the invader simply didn't get an overshield or the damage buff.
-
7 RepliesIt's 1 v 4. The whole point of invaders is to make them strong enough to take on 4 people at once in a 30 second window. If it was a "fair" fight the invader would get annihilated as soon as they started engaging the enemy team.
-
3 RepliesTHEY GLOW RED.
