The Update Does Not Guarantee a New Exotic
For those of you who did not actually read the patch notes...... The update does not eliminate the possibility of getting a duplicate exotic. All it does is increase the chances you will get a new one. You will still get a lot of repeats.

Several of my personal friends that had yet to receive a single Forsaken exotic since it's launch have received 2-4 each since the 2.0.5. I have been getting many new exotics, as I quit very early on in the original game launch and didn't come back until Forsaken. Yes, it is still possible to receive a duplicate, but the chance(s) now are significantly lower than they were before due to the weight system.

4 RepliesWhat can I do to get an exotic to drop? It seems like some people here on this post got a new forsaken exotic. I been completing every challenge ever since forsaken dropped and it's all duplicate crap. I mean at least Destiny 1 you had 3oc but yet you still had to grind which I was ok with. This though, you have nothing to increase your chances.

I got TWO forsaken exotics in the first half hour I played. Have seen ANY exotic up till then.

I got on for the festival bounties on Tuesday and got those Titan arms for the sheild and trinity ghaul from random ad kills

2 RepliesAfter weeks grinding - no exotic engrams for me you can count me on that. If I do have an exotic from forsaken, it’s just Cerberus and Ace of Spades really disappointed in that and if I do get an exotic engram, it’s just a year 1 bs.

2 RepliesGot my first 2 forsaken armor exotics on day 1. All i had was the trinity guoul. So far so good. I got the contraverse arms for my lock and the ursa for titan. Man ursa needs a nerf in pvp lol

I think the update was too generous I have been getting Forsaken exotics like candy from a piniata since the update. It will be like before forsaken when everyone gets all the new exotics in a week and complains there is nothing to chase Having Xur sell them once in a blue moon would be better

I got 3 exotics so far after update, apotheosis veil, telesto, winter guile... all duplicates. Also I read that they werent gonna make it so quest exotics drop anymore, and they did a list............ since when lord of wolves is a quest exotic?

Bungies idea of much higher is .000004. That's what the problem is.
