fantastic job Bungie for the worst competitive playlist ever done in the videogames history
copetititive is 100% garbage , matchmaking is gargabe , only people with telesto and other shit weapon , stack of 4 vs solo players , Bungie you MUST learn the meaning of balanced before you make a competitive playlist

Was like close to 1400 past 2 days I'm down to 1100, it's -blam!-ing rough, I even recently started using a shotgun more, the guy that snipes most of the time. I know playing solo is gonna be a salt fest. Breakthrough is -blam!-ing trash. I'd use telesto too if I had it since that's all i see others using. Too much heavy ammo just one per match like in D1 and you die heavy disappears, right now you got to play around heavy, the heavy spam and makes rest of the map a waste of space. And the supers blade barrage haven't unlocked it yet but no doubt it's the best Hunter super since others are kinda crap looking at you voidhunter. Then there's everyone's favourite nova warp. It's the best so obviously it's used. But it's needs a nerf so stupid how it can kill you through walls with its massive blast radius whilst tether can't even kill with a direct hit. If in D1 you didn't lose your special after you die I'd keep playing over this mess.

4 RepliesThe comp population is way too low for proper MM. If they were to make MM any tighter in comp the wait times would be horrible. Combine that with all the recoveries, the ddossing cheaters, the afks who dont care and are there to complete matches for broadsword quest..all these things combined make comp a completely broken list. Bungie keeps putting certain guns in comp quests and it always leads to folks cheating. They will never get it. Im not a dev and i dont have all the answers but i can tell you what i have experienced in comp. Ive been ddossed 4 times in 25 matches. When i look at enemy teams on DT its always the same pattern, they win via 2 or 3 players getting booted at match start. What does bungie do? Nothing. I can dig up all that info in 5 to 10 mins of searching. Bungo dont care man.

Matchmaking in all pvp modes [i]and[/i] gambit is the most [u] unbalanced mess[/u] that I’ve had the displeasure to play. Rise of Iron matchmaking felt fine.

that happens in every semi competitive game halo,COD, gears of war, overwatch etc. the only difference between these games and destiny is that everything is catered to the casuals pve kids that they cant handle that they are garbage. but i totally agree with the telesto part tho

16 RepliesPeople getting mad about 4 stacks, it’s a multiplayer game people want to play with their friends and people want to win, that is the entire premise of multiplayer competition. Blame the system tho not the 4 stacks, they’re not doing anything wrong.

1 ReplyThey tried to balance everything, that's what the great Luke-warming of the D2 launch weapons was all about. A looter shooter PvE/PvP hybrid just doesn't work well, maybe one day when they've pissed off everyone and get over their own egos they'll realize this. You either have hundreds of mediocre weapons to maintain PvP balance or OP weapons to promote happiness in reward seekers. If competitive had a very small and well-tuned set of weapons to choose from it would be a different story. You could be a HC ace, a scout rifle pinker, a squatting shotgunner, patient sniper, mid-range pulse master etc. Pick the playstyle you really enjoy and go with it. But they've made no indication of ever doing something like that so I would just get used to playing the meta and stop playing at a disadvantage even though it's boring as hell.

I love when I end up against 2 groups of 2 stacks in competitive and 2 groups of 3 in quick play. And of course I'm on teams that do nothing but feed them kills. How is that happening? If there's two groups of two or two groups of three then one should be on the opposite team

9 RepliesWhat they need to do is yank all Competitive rewards out of Competitive and put them in regular Crucibal. Competitive should be Trials, and nothing else.

3 RepliesFact is, that everyone has a right to Luna's Howl, at least if they choose to put in the time and effort it takes to acquire it. So many would disagree but all you PVP only players have a right to all the best PVE guns in the game, because you own the game. I see you use them constantly. Bungie made competitive playable for the average player so that they might have a chance to get the pinnacle crucible weapon. Truth is, they failed miserably. You cannot put a fully stacked team of nothing but the sweatiest PVP players out there against a team of randomly thrown together solo players. Those two teams should never exist in the same playlist and/or lobby, EVER. Matchmaking in this game is the worst I have ever seen. I don't understand how this was the goal for the Destiny PVP community. It is in a literal sense, GARBAGE. Still though, no response from Bungie on the matter. Typical.

4 RepliesAverage PVP player here. Also Solo and only have about 15-20 hours a week to play. Me and Randos compete and beat stacked teams quite a bit. I also just finished Ace of Spades and am 23% into the HC kills for Luna. Its doable. Much more so than in QP.

17 RepliesI actually applaud bungie for this. To create a worse competitive structure than overwatch is a achievement in itself. Having done the 25 matches for the broadsword. The matchmaking is embarrassing even when in a lobby with all solo players. The matches where rarely close, we would either destroy the team or they would destroy us. Don’t mind that in quick play but in competitive where winning matters the matches need to be 50/50 chance of winning or as close as possible. And bungie matchmaking is failing this.

3 RepliesJust delete the competitive playlist. It's a simpler answer and the rest of the game would be better for it. There's plenty of much better game choices if you want a competitive PvP experience, some that even stand a chance of you making money from if you're actually good at them. Just as Sparrow Racing shouldn't come back because there are far better racing games for people into that, Bungie should also call it quits on "Competitive" PvP and let it fade into memory.
