Your rewards are predetermined. RNG is not a real thing in D2.
The whole game is rigged. Want to know the fastest way to get all new exotics? Don't play for 2 weeks, come back, have all of them drop. The algorithms in this game are literally rigged. Players who are on every single day are less likely to leave thus they don't need to be enticed as much as players who haven't been on in 2 weeks, reward those guys, make them feel like they should play more. Honest to god try this out. Me and my friends grind every single day, we play for at least 4 to 6 hours a day, nothing. Not one new exotic since the first week. One of them took a week break and came back and his first two drops were geomags and phoenix protocol. For experiments sake the other friend took a 2 week break, came back and his first two drops were ursa and one eyed. This game is an actual joke.
This isn't just exotic drops either.
Gambit: Rigged.
Crucible: Rigged.
NIghtfall rewards: Rigged.

If you think the drops (or lack thereof) that you and a handful of friends are getting is at all representative of drop rates as a whole, you have a lot to learn about probability. Your sample size is insignificantly small.

Agreed, I'm stopping for a week to see what happens, so far I've gotten 7 exotics since forsaken shitted out: In this order. Sweet biz Telesto Sweet biz Telesto Sweet biz Sweet biz And yep u guessed it. Sweet f$cking biz. Twice since the "fix" dropped as well, so no not working as intended and no it is not fixed. #destiny2broken #rngmyass

Lol then they must love me. I have some pretty sweet “predetermined” random rolls. I love the new weapons and still use some of my old ones. I use more weapons now and several different load outs.

Totally agree. Felt this in D1 also. There are "tiers" of guardians. You either get "lucky" often, sometimes or rarely. Can't have everyone be happy right...?

I don’t believe the game is “rigged” per se but I do believe that the RNG is set up to try and increase play time. Sometimes it feels like a waste of time playing and then you get god roll or Forsaken exotic and you’re like hell yeah. Now you’re thinking I’m gonna keep playing so I can try these new items out. This balance of what should drop based on how long one has played is the secret sauce as to what makes or breaks the game. Especially a looter shooter. Balancing rewards versus time investment is hard. Signed Bungie.

it's very anecdotal but i experienced the same thing...i was on for 6-7 hours a day doing all the milestones and powerful engram bounties in the correct order and couldn't get past 541 in 3 weeks and got zero exotics. on the other hand my friend played 2 or 3 times a week for 4 hours and got to 575 in the same 3 weeks....i stopped playing for 2 and a half weeks, i do the festival of the lost twice and get the two tailed fox and within two weeks get all the way up to 580 playing very sporadically...

You might be on to something. Fortunately, I'm a more disciplined gamer than the likes and streamers that BUNGIE is used to fooling, I mean dealing with. It'll take a lot more than useless repeat Exotics drops to get me back to grinding a grindy grindfest of a game like Destiny 2.

True. The same things with Power Engram. The ones from Clan, Ikora, Crucible, Strikes etc...will decode to the slot that has level higher than the average total LL. So it will not rise the total LL. Even Prime Engram will go to the same slot. But Gambit Prime Engrams and Dream City will. The best Gun is behind the Gambit rank 12. They are forcing us to play Gambit. All rigged..!
