Treyarch has recently announced that Supply Drops will NOT be in Black Ops 4, instead it will be replaced with a battle pass-like system called "Black Market Contraband" where there's about 200 tiers worth of skins, camos, characters, graffiti and emotes to be unlocked. You can unlock these tiers by simply playing the game and completing challenges and use them wherever you want whether it'd be multiplayer or blackout.
Well done, Treyarch. I didn't know Activision would have the balls to be consumer friendly. As much as I despise fortnite, they've done a lot to the gaming community by inspiring other companies to getting rid of these shitty business practices.

Alot of gameplay required to progress through the ranks in battlepass. It would be not surprising to anyone at this point if they begin selling a xp boost to breeze through the pass in a full priced game.

5 RepliesI was shocked how badly they copy/pasted Fortnite. Unbelievable. How they didn’t get sued is beyond me. They didn’t even try to do anything different.

5 Replieshttps://www.pcgamer.com/black-ops-4s-dlc-maps-are-locked-in-a-season-pass-and-players-arent-happy/ Battle pass can't be bought individually, only through buying a special edition of the game. So consumer friendly? Nah, this is CoD we're talking about. You can take that one step forward with ripping off another games progress, but what's it matter when you then take 2 steps backwards in doing so? It's so typical of Activision lol.

4 RepliesEdited by Jono: 10/20/2018 8:06:54 AMThis is how they'll get people to think they won't add microtransactions. They said everything in Blops 3's supply drops would be purely cosmetic, then they added the stupid melee weapons and added more guns. CoD 4 Remastered didn't have supply drops at launch but got added later on and added shit that wasn't even in the original game. Don't ever trust a damn thing that Activision says.

15 RepliesAnd is everybody forgetting the fact there is no campaign? Wonder why so many people are okay with that, that was the only reason I ever played any. I'm not a fan of multiplayer only games, so this won't affect me at all anyway lol

3 RepliesThey also made the servers 20hz instead of 60hz which apparently is a big deal if you go to the Reddit

It better have a free battle pass system the game costs $60. Fortnite is free. Still hate Fortnite though

Probably doesnt belong here but my friend and i cant play bo4 together. We party up in the lobby, game says joining match, then party leader getd booted and both of us get the error "the lobby is not joinable". Both nats are open, both have ports forwarded, and we can play with other friends, just not with each other. Has anyone found a fix to this? It does it for everything: multiplayer, blackout, zombies

14 RepliesEdited by CatMan: 10/21/2018 3:55:30 AMSo they are stealing the -blam!-ing battle pass from fortnite huh? Pathetic this company is now. Happy I didn't buy. Edit: lol people getting as triggered as the destint 1 Fanboys used to get over this meh game.

1 ReplyPeople that bought the $120 dollar version got 2500 cod coins I believe, are they gonna be able to buy skins?
-
With EA dropping the ball with customer relations. Activision knows this and is trying to one up them and drive EA in a corner. Also it helps people buy their game compared to fornite's free to play. All in all, it's a smart move on Activisions part

4 RepliesSoooo, no microtransactions?

$50 they say you can buy credits to use in the market. But i view this as fair. Want the item? Unlock or buy, it doesnt matter. if microtransactions are purely cosmetic (which they should be), they are fine

1 ReplyAnd? I’d still rather play destiny, but that’s just me
