5 RepliesIt's a PvE mechanic in a pvp game mode. It's designed to give the PvE gods a chance to shine and hopefully lure them in playing pvp after ib is over. However, this bait and switch tactic fails when they realizes how incompetent they are on a level playing field.
-
It's end game comment. Keep it. Every other crucible does not have it enabled. Gambit does for the PvP portion.
-
is the only reason to get to max light.
-
5 RepliesLevel difference was the point of Iron Banner when it first came around in D1. It’s what sets it apart from regular crucible.
-
It’s the only thing making IB worth playing
-
I’d like one forum post to go please, with no salt.
-
-
go play qp nothing wrong with it
-
I'm playing at 588 and against a 600 player, I can't one shot them with my super (currently titan slam). That's real dumb for a gap of 12 light...
-
I'm not high enough light unfortunately, so I just stay away from it.
-
Doesn’t bother me for whatever reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Edited by MrShadowWriter: 10/19/2018 6:44:19 AMNot sure I can agree with this, and I am not the most confident or comfortable in a pvp surrounding. When i first heard level advantages were returning i thought to myself "I am going to get wrecked consistently." As it happens, with a decent weapon or two and a bit of patience and concentration i can even take down a guardian or two many levels higher than me. Not often but i can. And this says to me that noone is invincible - much of it has to be based on the player themselves and just how good they are at any given moment. Heck, i was taken down by a level 10!!!!!! the other day. And i was on my hunter who is mid 570s. That was mildly embarrassing. We are all going to have our thoughts on this matter - you obviously don't like the enabling of the level advantages. You are entitled to feel this way. I actually like the challenge because i see that it is not impossible to have good matches. And for someone who is bordering on complete deafness who can barely hear game sounds and has to play quite defensively a lot of the time so as not to lose my bearings, the fact that i am enoying pvp overall is testament in itself that it isn't broken......not for me anyway.

7 RepliesNah I like it, makes it different from quick play
Is real dumb.
If you don't have forsaken it's terrible, and I'm not buying forsaken because i just bought the other 2 dlc's and the lag is terrible. Used to it in crucible but now pve is even a joke. I don't even pick up engrams anymore because I'm afraid my ps4 will blow up.

2 RepliesI'm not saying you aren't busy or don't have a life, but one of my friends who is really busy all week was still able to get to 575 before this IB.
-
Next ib it wont matter .
-
2 RepliesI haven't found the power level advantages/disadvantages to be that noticeable to be honest. I'm only 559 and I was still getting smashed by people substantially lower than me and I was still able to take down 580+.
-
On one hand, the power differences aren't that big. I'm 550 and can deal decent damage even against (all too common) 600s. On the other hand, though, I'm sick of having some guy surviving what is supposed to be a guaranteed kill with a tiny sliver of health! If it was a bigger chunk, then it power level works I guess. But that itty-bitty little bit of health just adds insult to injury.
-
Explain, because im still able to take down 560+ with ease at 530
-
3 RepliesHavent played it yet, just gonna say i hope it isnt too much of an advantage, for those plebs who cant get past the soft cap
-
3 RepliesIron Banner and Trials are to pvp as raids are to pve. You thought competetive was? Nope. You need to earn those extra power drops. You need those drops, 600 sweaties need entertainment. Those 600's are the intended challenge for those drops. This isn't a special week of regular ol' crucible. If you're not 600 or even close then quit focusing on winning or beating everyone, but rather completing the bounties.
-
17 RepliesIt's so the people who no life the game grinding can get some kills in Crucible too.
-
Yea get rid of level advantages and i might play it once again. Right now it is so hard for me to sit through one whole game.
-
The only complaint I got is that the shield throw doesn’t kill 590+ players when I’m at 565-570. Hammers work good though.
-
It's for the kids who are scared they would get mopped by people under 500 light or under level 50.
