I'm a veteran D1 player and pushed through D2 until just Curse of Osiris when i couldn't take it anymore and walked away from the game.
However I decided to pick up Forsaken and try grinding some PVP and man I'm struggling, getting use to the frame rate movements and everything all over again has proven tough. Since picking it up my kd (on the emblem) has gone from 2.51 to 2.44 in a matter of days.
Any tips other than 'git gud' would be appreciated... I don't really want to shot gun either, I miss the last word

side arms melt at 0.56 ttk. Keep a fair distance around corners and be ready to intercept a shotgunner, u will have them on the ground before they can get close enough to fire their firsr shot. Recommended sidearms. The crucible one anonymous autumn, The fastest killer and can garuntee the job, but it will use up the whole clip. Kill clip and a good reload perk should keep u rolling (not outlaw) Translation theory Very solid, its got the perfect stats for fending off shotgunners. its a 300 rpm. The last dance, remember the last hope? u can now get it with decent perks. Still a beast or the drang i like the drang cuz it has smallbore and can be stable enough to land crits in tight situations. mine has 3k kills in the crucibles and i can assure u that 90% of those kills r shotgunners.

Also try erentil fr4 from collections, it’s a pretty good fusion as well. Under pressure perk is active constantly because of ammo economy in crucible. Just some more suggestions.

5 RepliesGood weapons tend to be high impact fusion rifles with back up plan. Also in the sidearm department for kinetic try translation theory if you get one with full auto and for energy try anonymous autumn. Both are very good side arms

2 Repliesuse a shotgun pulse or shotgun hand cannon load-out. my biggest tip to anyone having problems with K/D is: don't thirst for kills and pick your engagements. don't thirst for kills means. if your low don't re-peak, wait for your health to regen. if your low and the enemy is low and your chasing them watch the radar because a second full health enemy would be the end of you. if you get a double or triple and your low don't go for more unless your using a shotgun. pick your engagements means you need to be able to change your mind quickly. if your running towards someone and all of a sudden the radar lights out you need to be able to change your mind and find an effective way of escaping. seeing more than one person on the radar isn't always a bad thing. for example: there might be 2 people however they are both aiming down sights with their pulse down a different lane. in this case the best thing to do would be to pick one of them off and then retreat until your health is full then re-peak the other guy. even though you don't want to shotgun I would highly recommend using something like trust with botheration. in this current meta the most effect way to counter shotgunners is... yep you guest it, its with a shotgun.

Sidearms are fantastic counters to shotgunners. I’ve been using Rat King or Drang myself.

Back pedal smgs or sidearms. Don't rush around corners if you're running into campers.
