The Infinite Forest could become a mode where you start it like activating a heroic adventure. You then start off with low level light enemies and fight your way through areas til reaching a boss. Areas constantly transitioning between past, present, and future. Areas like that from the mission for Saint-14, an area I have not seen since with it's eerie atmosphere. So, you kill the first boss and grab a chest, then move on through the portal onto the next higher level light area with more enemies and eventually boss(s). You keep going til you reach max light level recommended, even going above the currently obtainable 600 light, say 620 light recommended, so as to give a challenge to even those who have made it to max light. The higher level you reach, the potential for higher rewards with higher light obviously. Something like an increase of 5-10 light level recommended per area defeated, with each area giving a gear reward from chest 20 light levels below the area you overcome. This will give a challenge and incentive to push you to grind to higher levels that will become ever increasing in difficulty but with a guarantee that eventually with persistence you will get gear that will help you to increase in light. Even if you manage to make it to max light recommended 620 areas, it will then just stay at 620, but keep producing areas to fight for rewards at max light level 600. Therefore Infinite, if players choose to keep going.

Wouldn’t it be cool if Osiris made it to were you could play all the old raids by using infinite forest? Now that would be cool. Curse of Osiris had so much potential as far as the ideas of where the infinite forest could go. As I recall I took my break from Destiny shortly after Osiris came out. Would love a horde mode in there that’s for sure.
