Petition to disable light level advantages in iron banner.
Let’s be honest it’s no fun getting steam rolled
There are still some of us who haven’t purchased forsaken due to having issues with money and or just overall trust about this company.
Some people suggested why don’t you just split up the playerbase? Forsaken owners would only get matched against forsaken owners but if you didn’t own it you’d get matched against people around your main level so 20-25-30. But the thing is destiny doesn’t have the largest playerbase
This isn’t fortnite you can’t go breaking everyone apart because eventually those base game owners will be unable to find matches and it’ll start to cause a pattern in every single matchmaking lobby.
The playerbase is too small to be split up
So I suggest turning of LL advantages. “Well hey that’s no fair I paid for forsaken I should get something for buying it during iron banner”
How about this
If we can turn off LL advantages
Give forsaken owners 2 extra powerful bounties every iron banner bringing it up to 4 instead of just 2
Would that be fair compensation? It helps you get raid ready it helps you get ready for trials but it prevents steam rolling nonforsaken owners in iron banner thus making matches more fair and more fun.
Just my 2 cents Bungie

If you want a comp mode go play trials when it returns or comp keep the LL advantages for trials but please

Something that gives those with greater levels and edge but not completely stomping out good players lower leveled than them. Who cares about that though. It's better to say "screw you I've got mine" at the end of the day, watch the numbers get lower, and then complain about it after the fact. Literally no forethought, or creativity is involved with this games developer or playerbase.

I get it, but there's one major problem with wanting LL advantage turned off, and it's a problem that hasn't much been correctly stated. "This is how it was in D1". Now hear Me out, because that phrase, is a poorly made argument, but not a baseless one. Destiny is an ever evolving game, and on top of that, PvE and PVP have heavily been kept separate yet intertwined with how the game as a whole is loot based. As time goes on, and DLC gets made to add to the evolving experience, it's inevitable that in PvE, players will need to get stronger to complete the new end game activities. PvP is however, for the most part, treated differently, both by the devs, and the community. There are people who would, do and will play Crucible all day, and never even consider doing the raid. To avoid alienating those players, and having them get bored with no goal to chase, Bungie had to design an end game experience for PvP. This is why Iron Banner was created. (And Trials, but that's not the focus, and IB came first.) Iron Banner was never meant to be [u]just another rotating playlist or event[/u]. It was designed with the purpose of satisfying players who are dedicated to the side of the game that is comparatively neglected in terms of content. And what better way to reward and challenge those dedicated players, than to [b]make the grind worth it[/b]?

11 RepliesAnyone downvoting this obviously only plays to pubstomp other players and does not want an overall better experience for the game. It's that simple. Light level advantage ruins PvP. Just because it was in D1 didn't mean it was a good idea and I despise people that use that argument still saying that it should be there because it was there before. That's called repeating problems.

1 ReplyIron Banner started with light level advantages back in the first game and it help separate itself from the other game types. I believe this is a humble return to form. I don't like getting steam rolled either so I am just waiting until I am high enough power. I would recommend not playing it if you don't have the expansion yet. I am sure you will still find challengers in quick play or comp. as well.

When someone paid for the game and could play Iron Banner before - Now you are actually taking that content AWAY from them. Another money making move by Bungie to push players to pay for DLC That's Ridiculous !!

Anywho, I'm mid-level range (540ish) and have been getting stomped by players on both end of the spectrum equally as much as i stomp them. If anything though, they should make scale down how big of a difference it is. Perhaps 2 different scales If you're higher light, you take less from the lower light but deal standard damage. If you're lower, you deal less to higher but take standard damage. So basically higher light makes you tougher but not more powerful. -edit- Wait, i messed that up i think?? Basically, don't overkill noobs but have them being weaker.

3 RepliesI disagree, this is an endgame pvp experience. If people didnt buy or game share forsaken that's their problem. If you cant grind to reach light level, you have different priorities. I played this game all day back in college on ps4. Now four years later I have other things going on. My thoughts are be patient and take your time leveling. If you're on x1 I'll help you level.

1 ReplyNah I like the level advantages. Skill does make a difference still. I love it when I am killing people that are way above my light level. Just because people have done the raid, or have a higher light doesn't mean they are better than you. It gives them advantage yes, but it's small. So if your good at crucible you will still do well.

4 RepliesRemember when TTK came out and trials had light advantage disabled for awhile so everybody had more time to level up, that is what should have happened with this IB. Im at ~540 on my pvp loadout so ill be fine unless i come across really good players that are also 550+. I mainly play pvp and ive had shitty rng so yeah bungie -blam!-ed up.

2 Repliesthis is crap, my k/d went from 4-3 to 3-2 since now I am facing people at 570 - 600 light level when I am 530, and they just wont die, but it gives me a good challenge, but does get frustrating at times.

9 RepliesI don't think you're a moron but I also don't think Iron Banner should go back to light level being disabled, Iron Banner always used to be about light level in D1 and most of us coudn't understand why it changed! Now it's back to how it used to be it needs to be left alone, and this is coming from someone who is crap at PVP, just check out my KD ratio lol
