Exotic engrams drops should be rare, but not THIS rare
Im one of the late comers, I bought the pre-order Cayde6 Forsaken pack, and Ive beaten the entire story of the game, and all the DLCs and not once have I seen an exotic engram drop. Sure I have exotic weapons and armor from missions, but that doesnt change the fact that E-Engram drops are far too exotic in my opinion. I agree they should be rare, and Ive read that they used to drop all the time, but now it feels like the dont drop AT ALL. Please fix the drop rate.

The proper fix is to not give the old duplicate exotics. I already paid for those. is that not the reason for collections? I'll go back and get it from there if I want it that bad.

Some Bungie fanboys will deny it but if you look at it from a business perspective it all makes sense. Yuna comes once a week selling sweet new exotics for real world cash. Now, Bungie pretends to be a nice guy by offering the “possibility” of getting the same loot for free if you simply play the game. What they are not telling you though and what most people don’t understand (disregarding your chances of seeing that golden orb granting loot for free in the first place) is that your chances of getting what you are after when picking up the exotic engram is 1 in 109 (not counting exotic sparrows which I understand have also been added). They play a game with your willpower which psychologists have proven is finite. The longer and harder you try the more of your willpower is drained till you become more likely than not to part with your real world cash. The “chance” to get it for free has to be there though to incentivize you to part with your cash to end the pain of the grind. The problem for us is that Yuna doesn’t exist here and we’d never accept her existence unlike our friends in Korea. Instead they figure we’ll accept these long odds on wanted exotics and almost non existent drops rates as part of the game. We in the West will simply make lemonade and extra dev time will not be required to adjust things for the West.

Didn’t get any at all on my first 2 characters but as soon as I started levelling up my third Banshee dropped trinity ghoul for me. Light level 385 but can’t complain, and then got lots of wolves from a random spider bounty. I think Bungie is trying to make me play hunter more often

10 RepliesDo we even know if it’s possible to get an exotic drop from anything other than Nightfall or the Raid. If I remember correctly in D1 you originally could only get exotics from those articular events and Xur.

Since Forsaken started, I have been playing daily. NOT ONE SINGLE EXOTIC has dropped for me. Thank god for Xur.

I've been grinding nonstop since forsaken came out, i've turned in atleast 40-50 bounties, killed thousands of enemies, done strikes, crucible, etc. I. Have. Not. Gotten. One. Single. Exotic. Drop.

Do they drop from pub events? Because they have become irrelevant again. I like the drop rates.. as long as the exotics are powerful.

3 RepliesJesus people it's only week two going into week three. You don't need to have everything instantly. The community wanted exotics to not be handed out like candy so now they're exotic again. Hell I actually got excited when I got an exotic drop.

Ya it's pretty bad... Especially for the committed and loyal fans that stuck with the game through it all and have nothing left to get but Forsaken loot. Then we grind and grind just to get old stuff we have been using this whole time. It would be nice to play the new content with a new weapon or armor ability but I'm already just shy of 550 and only have unstable charge and the raid as true content I have not yet done yet. Hope I can get something new for those at least.

Sigh. That's all I can do now. I called this and tried to warn people but do they listen know. They treat me as the town idiot and think oh his user ID is no longer kid checks out and blah blah blah. I called the nerf posts. I called exotics not dropping as much anymore. I called so many things that is not even funny at this point. But did anyone listen. Answer is nope. I have been slowly slipping from this game and not playing it unless I have weekly shit to do in hopes of getting high gear but oh wait I'm basically out of power cores and spiders bullshit system makes buying them not worth it when I need shards as well to infuse gear. Also before it's said but you can buy them yea one at a time with 2500 glimmer or 10 resource material and same goes for buying the glimmer. It's stupid and not worth it. Cut needs to sell in bulk for a certain amount of shards or a new material gained from strikes or something. But anyways I'm slowly leaving this game behind and I recommend anyone with any sanity left to the same. Youtubers and streamers with there thousands to millions of sheep ruined this game for the causal Ayers again and it is slowly turning into Destiny 1 all over again.

I’m not complaining at all. I got boots for my warlock that I don’t care about and a helmet for my warlock that I don’t care about, nothing else. Oh well, tough shit for me. I mean, if I get something I get it, if I don’t, it’s whatever. I don’t sweat the shit I can’t control, there are a couple of exotics through quest, that I can control and I’m almost done with those. I think the weapons in Forsaken (for a change) are good enough to do anything I want in this game.

I disagree. They’re fine in my opinion. I’ve only found 2 exotics and one happened to be the two tail fox rocket launcher so it was actually super lucky. RNG sucks sometimes

But at the end of the day I wanted this game to be good played it since the beta D1 up till warmind and finally after all the dryness and drought and coming back to being in a good place to a restart to trash again im glad I didn’t get forsaken bc if you think about it its like D1 again with using planet materials and this masterwork cores to upgrade your weapons or armor. Im sry not upgrade infuse. Huh I remember you had to get shards or energy in the raids back in d1 to upgrade your raid armor or weapons. You say ppl that talk crap about this game makes the forum toxic. No its the player base that constantly b**ch about this needs to be fix or harder/easier to get. This weapon to op nerf it.
