Instead of nerfing a great pve gun, just make it so the heavy weapon slot goes grey and is blocked while you invade. Call it invaders Blight or something. This adds more risk on the invader and forces them to get into a firefight with the defenders. They get an overshield anyway, so I don't see this being a terrible problem. It would also synergy better with the cayde quest, which heavy weapons are kinda putting a downer on for some people.
