Why is Seed of Light under RNG?
I've completed the Tier II Blind Well plenty of times already and haven't recieved the Seed of Light, yet I've seen about 10 people get it already during my Tier II offering and others.
Why is earning your second subclass so heavily influenced by RNG? I think you should reconsider how this all works. A suggestion would be you get it indefinitely after your 4th completion. Or after your third Tier II offering completion.
I like grinding, but I don't think earning your subclass should be influenced by RNG.
Edit: Blind Well Tier III will give you one gauranteed Seed of light. Tier II will give you a small chance to earn. Tier I does not reward players with a Seed.

3 RepliesThis is subclasses we are talking about. Heavily advertised new parts of the game that have NEVER been reliant on RNG before. There is so much that relies on RNG in this game. Subclasses should NEVER have been part of that. They should be unlocked through the campaign. All they needed to do was have one after Cayde’s death (Ikora sends you off to get more powerful or something), One through the Tangled Shore and then the final one after beating Uldren or reaching the Dreaming City. None of this ridiculous RNG for SKILLS AND ABILITIES.

I am pissed off, I HATED Escalation Protocol , The Well is empty, there is nobody there to do it with. I am glad that I did not pay for the Season Pass, If Bungie doesn't fix this Subclass debacle, I am quitting Destiny. This is the first time that they tie subclass progression to RNG and Group Gameplay, this is ubsurd. Solo players getting screwed. well, if this isn't fixed by October, I am out

Given getting our new subclasses is dependent upon the Seed this is absolutely ridiculous! Still have yet to get one myself.. If this continues I probably won't play much more as I very much want to use [b]ALL[/b] the new subclasses, [u][b]having six locked behind RNG is stupid[/b].[/u]

11 RepliesYa'll who literally can't stop defending bungie because you cheated your way to unlocking all your subclasses in one week. You're not going to stop hearing this, there really is no good reason why you shouldn't be able to unlock at least one subclass every week, the seed thing should have been a short cut at best. And right now, bungie has not said there is any other way to gain access to your subclass.... Well... You know... Aside maybe form deleting your character and rebuilding it two times... And even that probably won't work.

5 RepliesWhat? Getting the new subclasses are RNG based? I only leveled my Gunslinger and changed today to Nighstalker, I was hoping to start the new void subclass. If that's true it's a completely asinine decision.

Bad decision.... ...and Bungie ONCE AGAIN, trying to micro-manage progession and undermining player effort. Bungie still hasn't learned yet, that when they do this the community just bands together and breaks the game to get around the roadblock.

Sub classes should not be locked out by rng. I understand tier 3 completion is a guaranteed seed of light. But my light level is too low to do that yet so that means rng for me until then.

I honestly think subclasses should not be affected by RNG, I too agree that this is quite ridiculous. Weapon drops, sure drop the RNG there. But subclasses? No.... just no, release more base classes, that's what I want to see Bungie do

2 RepliesThey want you to keep playing because they know the game itself isn't actually engaging. Plus they probably design things around others playing, so if there was only 1 person the game just falls apart because they didn't design with that possibility in mind. It's a flawed game.

How is this for rng. Went to event, played 2 level I, then someone started up a lvl II. Upon my first lvl II completion received a Seed of Light. The clan mate that has run it a bunch of times did not like me much as he did it with another guy and the other guy got it first time as well. He is still without, and he grinds like nobodies business. 800+ masterwork cores and 20k leg shards. Yea he saves up, 70k bright dust.

I didn't have any luck with Tier 2 ether... I did get a seed to drop from running a Tier 3 though...

I'm annoyed with the whole subclass thing this go around. I haven't found many faults in the game otherwise (in fact I came back to it after months long hiatus) but the subclass quests were LAZY this time around. Why am I just being thrown visions of light for killing stuff? What meaning does that have to me? Because the traveler randomly decides to reward us? and why do I just kill things then go chase trees around to be handed a new super? This could've been handled so many different ways but they chose to do it like THIS. It feels cheap.

1 ReplyEverything we get in the game has to meeeen something, remember? You guys wanted this. A beefier grind, and now players are miffed because they actually get one. Who do you think you have been dealing with this whole time? Ignorance is no excuse. We have full knowledge of Bungie's Modus operandi. We know how they handle feedback. They go overboard. This is why players need to think twice before they post feedback. But they don't. And of course as usual we get the obligatory buyers remorse.

Yeah just spent 5 events doing the heavy lifting and watched everyone else get one but me. Kind of a kick in the teeth. Ah well...next week I guess I get to try out a new one.
