Infusion system completely broken. Especially for new players joining the game!
After playing D1 on PS4 for years and D2 on PS4 the past year.
I just started fresh on PC and the Infusion system is completely broken now! For new players this is just completely nuts and insane!
You get your first exotic armor piece at around level 8, then you can trash it again two levels later, since in no way can I farm up 4 MC cores and a bunch of shards at that level!
SERIOUSLY?? 4 MC cores no matter the level? How is a sub level-30 new player supposed to obtain these master cores? Or more insanely, below level 20? Since you are able to start collecting Legendary gear at lvl 16! Which has the same MC infusion core problem!
They completely messed up! It's completely out of wack now! Absolutely NUTS having to use Master cores on such low levels!
Fine if they want to make it expensive at the new level cap with Master cores, but at level 10? Was the guy at Bungie on drugs or something when he made this change? Do they even play and test their own friggin' game when they come up with these ridiculous and unnecessary changes?!
For new players and/or more casual players, they can forget farming up a nice set of their favorite looking gear, match it with shaders and then use the infusion system to keep the light level up!
The requirements are so completely insane now, that a huge and most enjoyable part of the game has become completely inaccesible for the majority of players.
So what is the point in playing now as new player? When you can't farm and keep your favorite gear anymore? No point using shaders anymore, since you are forced to trash your gear every hour for newer higher light level gear.
At first I thought this Master Core nonsense was post level 30 crap, but they just did it across the board at ALL levels! Just nuts and insane!
Seriously dissapointed in this. :-(

1 ReplyThese are just the growing pains with looter shooters. You have plenty of time to enjoy the content and get the gear. I’m happy we have infusion, games like borderlands did not. So as a player you had to grind again for that one weapon you enjoyed as you leveled up

10 RepliesWhy are you even worried about infusion at that level. Just swap out any gear as you find higher power items. Don't even bother with infusion until you hit soft caps.

Bungie, He's crying. I think you need to give into his self entitlement and just unlock everything for him. He doesn't really want to play your game. You see, to him it's a obligation and false sense of status quo because he believes he's part of some "cool crowd." You acknowledge his sensitive feelings Bungie.

You can use your old gear in the crucible if you’re so inclined. Light level doesn’t matter...till Iron Banner😈 Just use blues till you find a set you really like 🤷🏼♂️

5 RepliesJust roll with whatever you got. you think all the veteran players are infusing things as they go? piece by piece? NO, they're not they put all their stuff in the bank or broke it because you can get it back from Collections - and we're all rolling blue or whatever the highest thing we can get right now; nobody's infusing anything because it is so expensive and nobody has the materials to do this piece meal.
