Whose bright idea was it to add the planetary elements to weapon upgrading? Now I have to go out of my way to pick up alkane spores/data lattices etc to upgrade my weapons? This is nothing short of a step in the wrong direction, backwards. Why implement a system that is infuriatingly inferior to the previous one? Seriously Bungie, trying to give these items value by forcing their use is an absolutely disgusting game design choice. People shouldn’t defend this either by saying things like “You get the items from heroic public events etc anyway, it’s not a big deal” it is, because when you inevitably run out and need to upgrade a weapon, you’ll have to waste time gathering materials to do so.

1 ReplyI want a shotgun in my heavy slot. Alone as a god Graviton Lance EP shotgun.

I agree. Just more crap to pile up in my inventory. Weak

11 RepliesOMG you have to go out of your way to open 3 boxes on a certain location before you can upgrade, boo hoo. Infusion has had 0 struggle this entire game besides having to match stuff. You haven't been around for the worse times or you're just lazy.

2 RepliesI was more pissed off that you need masterwork cores.

It's not the marks or the planetary mats that grind my gears but the masterwork cores. Yes you can buy everything from spider, his prices increase with every purchase but masterwork cores get expensive fast.

It’s to require you to play a variety of in game activities rather than hiding out in one playlist.

2 RepliesEdited by Spooky_Ari: 9/3/2018 5:55:15 PMnearly anything you do on a planet will reward you with lots of planetary materials. I've got like 200 from doing flashpoint & daily heroic adventure milestones in a couple of days. I wasn't even trying to gather materials.
