You can tell magnificence is a reskin of Thorn
Because it shoots big-as thorns as bullet marks which is very unique to the thorn and it makes sense due to the thorns poising enemies, but for magnificence it detonates the thorns that are on the enemies rather than poison them.
In the trailer you can see the taken thorn of the Malfeasance sticking on the enemy.
