“I made this choice for myself yet I’m going to need the game to pander to my desires” type deal.
I mean I get it, it seems cool to run activities solo and lone wolf it, but that is a choice and kinda annoying to think the game and other players have to accommodate.

24 RepliesIf Destiny was meant to only be run in fireteam activities than "going solo" would not be a thing. Ahh... wind just taken out of your sails. I am regularly in group chat with friends and other players. I regularly team up and do public events, strikes, nightfall, Whisper (weekends), and raids. why must I be some undesirable simply because after being up till 3 am Saturday morning playing with others all night long on Friday, after a couple hours sleep (while they are nestled snugly in their beds), I am back up and wanting to game. They are not around so I can't fireteam up without rolling the dice and going lfg. what is wrong with wanting to just into crucible Solo, for a little action, a little piece and quite, some time kill before the household wakes and there are things to do. If the game was meant to ONLY be fireteam than "matchmaking" would never be an issue, without a team you don't get to play. and don't you forget on your retort - there is matchmaking for strikes currently, not just crucible. it is not an accommodation to the soloists to make simple changes that are sensible so that a broad base of players can play and enjoy the game. having a broad base means more profits in the long run for the company. I don't know for sure but am going to step out on the ledge anyway - Gambit is a team activity. Going into that solo is sure to get you killed. will there be matchmaking, idk, but if there is I would bet most of those are going to lose to teams that are communicating together through coms. My fireteam is already set to Gambit and to grind it out, and as it was said this weekend, I will be dragged into it. I don't like the current state of affairs of the PvP realm, I was willing to play it as a bad player in the casual atmosphere it was when it was skill based. Now all the good players are of the opposite opinion, it used to be trash and swettie, now it is super casual to them since they are matched up against bad players and dominate the field. There needs to be some sort of leveling of ground. 1 diamond vs. bronze and silvers is OK, 4-5 diamonds vs. bronzes is Not OK.
