Seperate sensitivity for looking around and aiming

There needs to be seperate sensitivities. When i am not in ADS it feels too sluggish but when i ADS the sensitivity is way too fast. How is this not implemented yet after like 5 years? • Need sensitivity adjustment and speed adjustment both for ads and hipfire.

Just the fact that it feels like my character takes almost a full 10 seconds to look side to side or up and down is infuriating. Being able to control your look speed like you can on PC would make dealing with pesky jumpers in the crucible 1000x easier. To think that it's 2018 and we're asking for a basic ass option that nearly every PS1 and Dreamcast game had... :/

How about a toggle on aim assist and stick while we're at it? Edit: Hell, Battlefield has these settings in great detail.

        • Also, be able to adjust look speed AND sensitivity. You know, like any good shooter since 2000.

          • Been saying it since D1... This needs to Happen as many other games on console have it.

          • I find that after playing Warframe, Destiny 2 sensitivity is way too sluggish not only for aiming but for general hipfire. I have also found that the aiming is extremely janky and needs a touch up to be a bit more fluid on consoles. I play on 10 sensitivity and I still take ten days to do a 360, yet on half a bar of sensitivity and no aim assistance I can move my aim incredibly fluid on Warframe and still be highly accurate. But no. Bungie doesn't want players to have customization options in their game. I think the sensitivity is just a placebo effect and it actually doesn't matter and if it does, it matter so little you might as well just play on whatever

If an Input Lag issue: Modern TV's use all sorts of post processing to make the image sharper and clearer and use them as default. (Gotta look the best on the show floor). This if fine for watching TV and movies but not for games. Input Lag describes the time it takes for the TV to recieve the signal and then display the signal. Post processing increases the input lag significantly and frankly it makes me disorientated trying to play with it on. Game Mode is designed to cut the crap and get straight to displaying the image. Best for games. If you have it you should definitely try it. Or. Buy an Elite (or equivalent) controller and set up your sticks to your preferred sensitivity. While we are at it - fix auto aim! When I aim at an enemy, shooting, it should not move to a different target just because it’s close by! Can’t count how many 1:2 encounters I lost because of that Edit: Lot’s of feedback so far, wow. And you guys are right, while I came from a PVP angle it is as disturbing in PVE endgame content, agree.

                • It would be nice if Bungie added this and put them on a slider with 100 points of adjustment instead of only 10. While we're at it, can we have fully customizable button mapping too?

                • It was great when battlefield separated the sensitivities. I want to be able to turn sharper but have a bit of a lower sensitivity to aiming. If I turn it lower i got to mash down on the joysticks to turn sharper.

                • hell no if that is the case then PVP and PVE needs to be 2 different games

                • And while you're at it, why is the sensitivity different for looking up/down than for left/right?

I agree. It's crazy to me that Destiny as a franchise has some of the best, if not the best, shooting mechanics in the industry yet they somehow haven't added the basic sensitivity options ever shooter has had for like a decade.

I wish you could at least adjust vertical and horizontal sensitivity separately.

                    • I’m pretty sure the option is intentionally missing to force a trade off between quick response while not scoping and precision while scoping. Whether it’s right or wrong, it keeps the game a step removed from being a twitch shooter.

                      • I always thought that the handling stat should have more to do with that issue honestly.
