3 RepliesIt would be cool but for some reason bungie is leaving vehicle combat behind with Halo. Would have loved if Destiny took a deeper stance on vehicles

1 ReplyCool yes but not very good as a sparrow blows up after being hit by a wod of paper taking you along with it. So if they did add it they’d have to buff sparrow defence aswell
-
1 ReplyI don’t think sparrows need guns.. but jeezus can we at least INCREASE! The durability of them? Or if there’s going to be an auto eject upon exploding can I at least survive it? Lol its literally instant death.
-
Yes...if they worked, and didnt have their aim and damaged nerfed beyond recognition.
-
No no sparrows were never designed to have guns....pfft...come on bruh...we live in 2077....hello!
-
Let me fly also
-
They already exist, they've called Pikes. See you local Fallen for free access to those sparrows.

1 ReplyThe reason they never do it is answered with the question "would you ever get off the thing if it had guns on it"? Which I can understand where they are coming from. However that doesn't mean vehicle gameplay has to be so under represented as it is now. It's like they learned nothing of why Halo was fun. At the very least Halo actually tried to mix up its missions by changing the experience up. Okay this is the on foot section, and this the vehicle section. This only got better because they learned that making encounters a choice between infantry or vehicle play allowed for variety in approach, and so they added vehicle hijacking to further emphasize that. The scarab fights in halo 3 typified that design. That's the simple version and not even including the actually robust sandbox, something destiny could use. This is what Destiny is missing, actually playing with the sandbox. Instead we get "but our RPG stuff we spent time on". None of which is actually interesting.

It would be cool, but then you'd never get off your sparrow.

2 RepliesBack in D1, you could fire your Golden Gun on a sparrow.
-
Then they actually might be exotic instead of materials for eververse
-
Uhhh...yeah!

I definitely think it would be cool and very easy for them to design. In fact they have several bikes that are already shaped like they would have built in weapons. I made a post that was ignored about the Blacklight Razors Blades not being usable to me... But yes a weaker armored version of a pike would be great. Sparows seem to only have 2 life bars, before they explode so (I am talking about points at which the bike will explode and fail to heal passed the point the exposion took place, Pikes have 3, And Interceptors 4) I see no threat on Pikes because they would still be far better armored, and an enemy machine to boot. Who does not just LOVE to use the enemies equipment? I am still looking for a way to drive the spider tank......

No, because that'd just be sloppy design. What needs to happen: Create three tiers of vehicles for Guardians to have on planets. Tier 1: Light, low health scouting vehicle. (Sparrow) Tier 2: Medium, higher health, slower speeds and weaponized for light to medium assaults. (Similar to Pikes.) Tier 3: Heavy, high health, slowest vehicle equipped with heavy, slow firing weaponry. (Similar to Interceptor.) This would allow a more diverse vehicle loot pool for guardians and it'll give them even more choice on how they want to traverse any type of frontier.

I dont see why guardians cant have weapons on the sparrow.. enemies can. And those vehicles are far more tanky as well.

halo ghost exotic sparrow...

5 RepliesThe Cabal have armor-plated Hummers with missiles. The Fallen have Harleys with mounted electrical machine guns. Guardians have... an unarmed Vespa.
-
Mine explodes quickly since enemy rate of fire appears to quadruple when you're on your Sparrow
-
This is a rhetorical question, right? Cuz, what video game vehicle ISN'T cool with guns?
-
1 ReplyAs long as mine come with twin mini guns ...... I don’t just want to annihilate I want to exterminate everything in my path 😆
-
I have wanted this since Day 1. I REALLY hope that one day it is implemented. I think it would be so fun. Hell, just give them a cool down after shooting for a long time, like how the Pike's used to be.
-
i'd like this so i can give those pesky pike dregs and interceptor Psions a taste of their own medicine
-
We have them, they're called pikes.
-
2 RepliesTess will sold it for a lot of silver

eh, I would just rather Bungie focuses their time on more important things lol. That would be some sort of gimmick that people would think is cool but nobody will care about in a week.
