Older Players
Am I the only 'person of a certain age' playing the game? Everybody seems so young.... :-)

18 RepliesBorn in the age of: Black and White Tv's Betamax was the latest greatest technology (at some point in there) Rotary phones - connected to the wall - with cords (oh the horror) pre-microwave (what is that magic box that cooks our food) Vinyl was the only music - not just the cool hipster stuff it is today So yes - pre Cassette Tapes and definitely pre CD's pre-computers (when I finally saved and bought my first one - spent way too much for a 200 MHz processor) I had to actually go outside to play as a kid First game was some cheesy lunar lander on the Commodore 64 I mowed lawns to earn money to buy my first real game system Atari 2600 (by the way I still have it, it still works, 50+ game cartridges, and it's awesome) Got into building my own PC's when that was cheaper than buying a new one. Played way too much StarCraft and Diablo and TombRaider I've been a Desiny Guardian since the beginning - and yes almost everyone is less than half my age. There are a few people I've met that are close, but 99.9% of the time I'm the oldest fart in the group. I think it's kinda cool - until they start complaining about getting old ( a 23 year old did that the other day). So my magic number - currently 47 and getting larger every year. 1 ReplyI’m a 50 something guardian. I remember back in the day tv had vacuum tubes. Books and newspapers were printed on paper. We didn’t have the 3 sea shells for the bathroom. I might not always get the most number of kills in pve but I usually get a boss kill.

6 RepliesNobody is older than me. I was born before TV, before the internet, before iPods (we used vinyl records). I started on Falcon 1.0. I am slowing up now and concentrate on PvE, you kids are too dang fast. Lately, I have finished the Fallouts, Far Crys, Division, Ghost Recon, etc. I am retired and have plenty of that time resource, I'v put ~ 300 hours in D2. No D1, I am a PC guy. I am 74, born in 1944. I like to say that I may be old, but I am slow.

Bought the Atari system new, when I was 17. Tells you how old I am. Bring back Breakout!!!!!!!!

59 Years young.... My uncle was an engineer-radio/TV repairman..had the first RCA color TV.. The one of the first real Color TV show was the Wonderful World of Disney!! We got our first Color TV to watch the Apollo Moon landing! My first video game/console...Sega Pong later was came the Sega 2600 The PC wasn't invented until my last year of college.... Time flies!!

7 RepliesPlenty of clans specifically catered to older players out there. Ours (Too old to grind) is 35+ & 90 members. A group of Crows is called a Murder. A group of Ravens is called an Unkindness. A (202G) fireteam is called a Nursing home.....😁

16 Replies44 here, and i just yelled at a kid today to get off my lawn and stop playing with my mailbox. damn kids have it so easy, they will never know the horror of walking though 6 feet of shag carpet to turn the channel on the t.v. or to adjust the rabbit ears on it.
