I remember somewhere in the S3 Eververse armor it talked about The Traveler disappearing and reappearing in the system. Now that The Traveler is awake again, could it leave us like it left many species before us?
-
3 RepliesTechnically yes. The Traveler does what it wants on its own whim. Probably the only thing that could prevent it from leaving is Rasputin who is quite capable of damaging it. There's speculation that the Traveler tried leaving, but Ras shot it leaving its bottom portion exposed. However this is unconfirmed.

It had its chance and chose not to. Why would it do so now?
-
4 RepliesRasputin has already prepared to shoot it if it plans to, which would cripple it.

They’d have to find the Jolly Green Giant first, though, so he could whack it out of orbit with his 3 iron.
-
Could? more like when , it already did the same thing to the fallen gave them a golden age then fled leaving them in ruins came to us gave us a golden age then collapse sound familiar yet? Then tried to leave rasuptin shot it stayed still ever since yeah..
-
Nope. Not in the state it's in now with being all busted open.
-
7 RepliesRasputin shot it down at one point, and its sat dormant for so long, it may not have the ability to leave any more from being so damaged and uncared for. Its been slowly falling apart, which is why there are pieces of it scattered around.
-
I sure hope so.
-
I highly doubt it will. The Traveler has already sacrificed itself for humanity once before, something it has never done for any other race, and is currently creating more ghosts.

Edited by CatMan: 8/12/2018 10:18:07 PMTraveler disappears in D3. We have to find out where it went....also our weapons disappear with it.
-
7 RepliesI really think it will. I mean..Rasputin literally shot it down to make it stay here and help us, so I don’t think it has any kind of sympathy or care for Humanity at all.
-
Yes, it could. Variks has implied it will.

Edited by NeonPropose: 8/12/2018 6:50:20 PMThe season 3 eververse armour is written from the perspectives of the original ares 1 crew. They were the original humans selected from the USA astronauts: Jacob Hardy (as seen in the Titan EV armour), the Chinese Cosmonauts: Ulysses Qiao (as seen in the Hunter EV armour), and the Russian Taikonauts: M.Mihaylova (as shown from the warlock EV armour). The fact it an move as these lore tabs detail provide evidence for its possibility to move. So it’s possible.

It stayed with Humanity for a reason, and its too weak to go back on it's decision to take a stand now. I'd say the likelihood of the Traveler leaving is slim to none.

I doubt it. There some plan in place where Rasputin will literally cripple the Traveler if it tries to leave I believe (which I think it hasn’t done yet but it was believed to have happened). And considering Rasputin will now protect humanity on his own terms, it’s very well possible that would happen if the Traveler tried to abandon earth. -
It stayed with us during the Collapse, so it’ll only leave if it’s absolutely necessary for its survival.
-
<It COULD, the question is if it WILL>
-
I can see it doing a runner once the darkness gets near
-
Yes it could
