the Arsenal modifier for the prestige raid lairs is the worst thing introduced into this game.
so much for giving us the tools to play the way we want to play.
instead you give us restricted loadouts which is a pain in the ass as it is but then you add this modifier in.
instead of having a fun time and a good time doing raids with friends it has become the most bullshit thing to do.
let alone i find spire of stars to be the most painful raid ever made, its not too hard on normal but because of all the mechanics and being limited to time and limited revives all this has become is toxic.
i feel discouraged playing these raid lairs because of this modifier and restricted loadouts.
i dont enjoy being told i have to run a specific weapon loadout.
please for the love of GOD
dont let this bullshit happen going into forsaken.

I just hope Bungie doesn't do this with future raids.
-
Limiting our ammo to one magazine per weapon is one of the dumbest -blam!-ing things they've ever done.
-
Yeah they turned the raid lairs into something my clan mate's and I enjoyed doing on normal and turned the prestige versions into something that's not fun at all. We have stopped doing them when its a bullshit loadout with a toxic modifier as they just ain't worth the effort. Lazy AF bungie

Prism is the dumbest...

I’m fine with the load out but the arsenal modifier makes me skip that week

2 RepliesThe modifiers are there to make you play the content in a different way than normal, which the Arsenal modifier certainly makes you do. Part of the challenge is learning how to adapt to a loadout/playstyle you don't normal use. Some weeks will be inherently more difficult than others, but learning how to overcome their limitations to succeed can be part of the reward.

Disagree. The curated loadouts made the fights interesting having to figure out how to beat them using different tactics and I like Arsenal the most. It's basically infinite heavy ammo and my friends and I found it fun as hell.

Prestige lairs are just lazy game design. Prestige Leviathan is fun because it introduced new mechanics in each challenge and new enemies. The lairs are just lazy though, no new mechanics, no new challenges, nothing added. Instead, Bungie once again decided to just make the player weaker and call it gameplay. Making the enemies hit harder and turning them into bullet sponges isn’t introducing anything new, and is just lazy. The curated loadout would have been a neat addition, if it wasn’t for the arsenal modifier taking away all your ammo. Just another way to make the player weaker. Also, you should auto equip the next gun when you use all your ammo during arsenal instead of still having to manually switch. The rewards are garbage anyways, a 405 gun that you can’t infuse in to anything and doesn’t make you any stronger since power/light level is meaningless. After looking forward to the prestige lairs, it just feels like a letdown.

The people who beat the Prestige Calus Raid as the World's First did so by using the ammo glitch By the time EoW came out, almost 50 teams that usually go for that title didn't even bother. Bungie had to do something to guarantee it can't happen again

1 ReplyRestricted loadouts are lazy method of making raid lairs "harder".
-
2 Repliesdevs forcing their own customers into dev-created boxes is one of the worst trends this gen. I'm truly tired of devs choosing my loadouts. Battlefield, COD, Destiny.. anything with "classes".. stupid. You have 20 perks but you restrict which ones i'm "allowed" to use in combination with one another. Can't use that gun with that perk, nope. Can't use that Super with that perk, nope.

1 ReplyThe restricted loadouts don't really bother me. I felt the same way in the beginning, but I ended up enjoying playing with weapon types I've never touched. But the arsenal modifier needs to go. It is annoying and bothersome.

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 8/11/2018 2:41:24 AMIf they have to take things away from players or halt player progression or accomplishments in order to make something more challenging or to give players more to do, then I think that represents a failure on their part to provide worthwhile replay value to begin with. A lot of what they do seems to involve these methods, and they restrict the game far too heavily. It’s begging to be opened up in many engaging and obvious ways.

Play normal, prestige is for those of us who enjoy a challenge outside of just making enemies more spongy. I like the load out and Modifier systems.

If it rotates next week = melee kills increase weapon dmg. Weapon kills recharge melee and increases melee dmg.
