51 Replies😂😂😂😂😂 this is too funny! You’re few hundred up-ticks are meaningless. Those who complete the Whisper quest are the same fan boys who complete Raids And only 15% of the entire Destiny player base has completed a Raid in Destiny 2. According to Bungie’s own statistics less than two out of ten players completed the Raid in Destiny 2 just as less than 2 out of 10 players completed the Raid in Destiny 1. And I bet that less than 2 out of ten players completed the Whisper quest also. You top 15% are just so out of touch with reality and way too full of yourselves. Your arrogance didn’t matter when there was more paths to max light and fun activities for the masses. We didn’t care then. But now you seem to be trying to convince Bungie that the Whisper Exotic quest, an activity that 85% of us will never complete, should be the new norm in Exotic quests. And we aren’t buying it. Bungie better provide more fun activities for the 85% or your Club Destiny is going to have its doors shuttered forever. The 85% are not going to continue buying Destiny if only the top 15% get the good content ( while the rest of us grind our little monotonous milestones every week). So bring on your out of touch responses, fan boys. But know that your opinions are usually meaningless to the 85% of us who don’t live in your fantasy world. Unless of course you agree with me 😁

1 ReplyNope, I’ll get round to it at some point I guess. Honestly I don’t need a ‘win button’ with the current challenge in the game, defeating a strike boss before it’s had a chance to move is boring as hell, so I don’t need it before the inevitable nerf. I’d rather use a variety of weapons and make things more interesting. Whilst the quest is genuinely a great step back to the days of creating something unique resulting in a top tier reward, Bungie can’t of been oblivious to the fact these events were highly praised coming out of D1 and it seems deliberate to me to hold it till the end of season 3 to get the chatter positive before the expansion. They continue in D2 to have little to no respect for a players time investment in the game with both this and other recent additions providing either: No option to access via a direct method or forcing you to wait with no real idea if something will even happen within the time you have available to play. (Just make the blight the only PE during the event in that area - fixed) or Seriously restrictive matchmaking options (EP) and the ones that work either seem manipulative or actually outright don’t work (PVP). It’s the same with everything that gets added: high praise from me for EP (I love it when a team comes together) and also for WOTM too, but give us the tools to play the game within the time we have. Make it about our ability to reach the goal you’ve set, not about whether the goal will even appear or whether there will be enough people to even give it a shot.

To be honest, I think I'm getting too old to be excited over digital gear in a video game. I had Black Hammer and Black Spindle in Destiny 1, and now I have the 3rd iteration. Re-skin upon re-skin. I appreciate that newer players are hyped over the quest and the reward, but as a Destiny 1 'vet' I've seen it all before and it just feels repetitive and over-familiar. Like I'm a hamster on a wheel.

Why do people insist that it’s such a grind or impossible to do... it’s really not that difficult and you could complete the quest, the heroic, and the chests in a few hours

You can't complete the quest.... yet. You CAN get the WOTW, but completing the catalyst requires waiting until this weekend.

i watched a video with the shortcuts and then i ran it solo a few times friday night to get a feel for the jumps and making my way to the last rooms. each time i went to IO, the most i had to wait was 20 mins each time or less. saturday night, found a team on the app. we ran it 3 times and got it on the 3rd try with 2 min to spare. it was a fun quest honestly and i am looking forward to trying to obtain the catalyst next weekend. heres to hoping that bungie includes alot more content along these lines in the DLC next month and future.

1 ReplyI finally did get it. Glad I got it but not like super excited. The rng pe really drained all the excitement for me. Its a good gun though. Quest is fun, once its triggered.
