Whisper of the Worm - Glitched again?
We have been waiting over 2 hours now and the mission only started once. Anybody know whats up?

Bungie does not have pure RNG. RNG in this game is determined by other factors. Like if you want a scout rifle from a vendor, then equip a pulse and so on. So something in the gameplay is messing with the RNG generator to knock out the blight or how many people are on a server. As for the blight being random for individual servers? I have seen no sign of that. Last week we were trying to get lots of people thru the mission and had people in separate servers waiting. Cabal hit every server at the same time. all pe's do.

Bungie already checked and saw there was no glitch causing cabal to spawn more however there was nothing preventing a streak of cabal from spawning. To address this they favored blighted streaks over cabal streaks.

I've spent an entire Saturday waiting for this stupid thing...7:00am -3:30pm so far...I've got the taken event once...I'm sure the hour I left for lunch is the only times it's popped...BS

I don't think it's glitched, I think besides talented and good workers there is a bunch of idiots making bad decisions in bungie, and somehow they're not fired yet. Abscence of random rolls, ammo synths, separate weapon balance for pvp and pve confirms this information.

Bungle being Bungle. I don't buy this is simply random yet I'll most likely test it out sometime next week when the quest is gone and see if any of these streaks happen. My view is they either did this on purpose as some sick joke or they want to limit how many people get this weapon (the streamers who are the only people they really care about got it early last week so it's basically "screw you" to everyone else) or they just screwed something up in the code for when this quest is active and they don't want to admit to that.

Or it’s a mixture of laziness and incompetence. A simple fix would be to remove the Cabal PE event entirely for the weekend but I guess that’s too much to ask. Yet again : great idea, piss poor implementation.

It's a blatant lie. Too many people are getting it (not me yet unfortunately), and it's way overpowered. They can't Nerf it due to the backlash, so they are restricting an already restricted event. You can't hide behind rng as an excuse forever. If last week was some horrendous outliar, then please explain the odds of it happening two weeks in a row? This kind of stuff is why the game has never reached its potential of community trust.
