They work just fine. I have yet to see a post like yours where it didn't turn out that the person either didn't understand how the engram works, or the exotics they claimed to not have were already in their collection and they just forgot.

Check the help section every weekend. It happens all the time.

As I said, I see them all the time, but they have always turned out to be because of user error, not a problem with the engram.

Thanks yeah I thought xur was account wide not character bound. Since if I claim a fated engram I can't get another on a different character so I thought the exotics worked account wide.
