What's your catalyst drop rate like?
I've gotten a few like Whisper, Polaris, Darci, Tractor Cannon, the faction rally ones, Sturm, Jade Rabbit, Crimson but no matter how many nightfalls I complete or heroic strikes I finish I've yet to get one drop from those. And this is coming from a player that's finished 533 strikes and 139 nightfall runs. Currently rank 72 with vanguard and I'm sitting on 1600 more vanguard tokens. Either my RNG is something awful or is there a bug going on I'm unaware of.

Darci,borealis,tractor,crimson,sunshot,vigilance wing,colony,jade rabit,merciless,huckleberry,sturm,polaris lance. I got these randomly except the faction ones

Missing: -MIDA - does this even exist? -Acrius - did 3 prestige leviathan runs for this one now, still nada. -Telesto - did 4 prestige EoW runs for this one now, still nada. -Sleeper - can't run prestige spire because hunters-only (and) tryhards -Riskrunner - does this even exist? -Wardcliff - does this even exist? -Coldheart - does this even exist? -Prometheus - does this even exist? -Merciless - does this even exist?

1 ReplyThe only ones I'm missing are: Promethius Lens Colony MIDA Riskrunner Vigilance Wing Whispers Graviton Sweet Buisness I got lucky with Jade Rabbit and Coldheart, but outside of those two, I haven't gotten any other Crucible or Strike Catalysts yet. I've been grinding my butt off for Colony and Riskrunner... and have yet to get those to drop.

What I'm missing Coldheart Prometheus lens Wardcliff Coil Riskrunner Merciless Mida Acrius Sleeper Pretty much all of them are from strikes it is annoying as hell.

I only do strikes n PvP (quick play) for weekly milestones (with 3 characters) - I've got all catalyst that are not RNG - from strikes I got the risk runner last month and the sturm over the weekend - in crucible I got the vigilance wing in early in June and the jade rabbit early in July - I've gotten the darci in eow, crimson, borealis, and tractor cannon (in that order) from regular activities What I'm saying is: I'm not wasting my time farming strikes or crucible- I just play the game n let RNG do it's thing Also I'm at rank 50 in vanguard (day 1) but hoard my tokens lol!

I have all the World Drop catalysts. 2 raid catalyst 2 pvp in Jade Rabbit and Vigilance Wing. All 3 faction catalyst Whisper catalyst Strikes is Prometheus from a ZERO SCORE prestige NF I find my RNG to be good

No strike catalysts, no crucible catalysts, and none from prestige raids. So, I guess you can say my rng is pretty abysmal.

I have darci, crimson, polaris lance, skyburners oath, and whisper of the worms. So 3 from random drops. I'd call that pretty crappy.

I still have zero strike or crucible catalysts. I don't play much crucible so that is fair, but I have done more than enough strikes to at least have one, but no.

The Colony Vigilance Wing I basically have every catalyst in the game that isn't tied to Trials/Raids/Heroic Adventures....by choice. ..and those tied to strikes because not one of them has dropped. Rank 51 with Zavala and the Vanguard. Sitting on about 300 unredeemed tokens. All done via Heroic strikes and Nightfalls. Even got the NF specific ghost to drop from last weeks Inverted Spire strike. Haven't seen ANY of the strike-specific catalysts. ...and I'm betting I'm FAR from alone in this. I dont' think the drop rates are bugged. I think Bungie just outsmarted themselves in trying to make them super rare in order to get people to grind stirkes. But wound up making them so impossible to get, that people have basically stopped trying.

Got one first day, didn't see another for two weeks, then got a couple more...since then not a thing. No strike catalysts at all either, but I ain't been grinding for them, just doing milestones.

We dont have motes of light any more so its not like ppl can speed level them. Plus they throttle xp so its not like its gonna be that easy to unlock

I have fairly decent RNG it seems.. I have the riskrunner, got the prometheus lens the other day and the strum dropped in the same strike..

Think I got crimson catalyst during normal leviathan. The very next raid I played I got the Darci catalyst while clearing ads in the one room. I believe that’s the only ones I’ve gotten so far. Been trying to get wardcliffe, but it just won’t drop for me.
