Heads up on Solstice for non raiders
Just to let you know ahead of time, the chest upgrade for solstice armor is only available in prestige raid. Not sure what bungies deal is with this activity. They did the same with non raid weapon catalysts telesto and sleeper. This won't make people raid. Wake up bungie........

Bungie: Community Event, let’s make all the rewards raid exclusive and the exotic catalysts too even though they make no sense at all (Looking at you Telesto, should have saved it for Forsaken)

Won't make people raid? Don't tell me what to do!!! I ran prestige levi just for the prestige armour (vanilla, before all the fancy buffs)

I'll wait and see. I may have to do the objectives if the last version of the armor is tied to the masterwork, though, but I really hope it's not. I can live without the masterworks.

I’m kinda peeved that the Sleeper Catalyst is locked to a raid. It’s my favourite weapon but I haven’t done the raid a lot and don’t see when I’ll get to do the prestige level of each anytime soon.

I think it said you only had to do the leviathan prestige. I haven't raided in some time or completed one in D2 but hopefully I can find a group who won't be that restrictive on who joins because I'd like to complete the set.

Rather than come up with new raid specific gear actually related to the raid, they just chuck random stuff in there. It’s not going to increase the number of people raiding. Raid completions from the player base sit at around 20%. That’s the minority of Destiny players. Edit: So it is just the masterwork in the raid? Ok cool, I’ll get the base armour and forget about the upgrade and then because it isn’t masterwork, never bother using it.

Really, they can't get people to do the normal raids so they dump that into prestige raid. LOL well bungie, nice try. I'll just play something else and wait for the dlc to drop then in a couple of hours be higher than 400 anyway when it matters.

I rarely raid. I think once since October.... so I probably will not get any of these items. There should, however, be different rewards available based upon the difficulty of the mode/mission being played. Heroic quests/missions should give out better rewards than base difficulty missions. Nightfall should give out better items than heroics. Raids should give out better rewards than a Nightfall. Add the prestige modes to those and they should give out better tiered items than their base. Players should be rewarded based upon the difficulty of the task that is undertaken. Sure, you should be able to reach max light level, but with base items of lesser tiers than you would have received doing more complex and difficult missions.

2 RepliesTo be honest the new 400 stuff is completely worthless. All activities are 380 or less so 400 is absolutely worthless, unlike in destiny 1 where being over levelled meant something, in destiny 2 going over 380 is pointless.

It's a shame they have decided to go this route given how such a low percentage are going to do that yet hey, their game so their choice. I'm hoping I get the two exotic emotes early and can just take most of August off from playing the game as I'm not going to get all the armour and the rest of the grind to get it all doesn't look all that appealing as well.

3 RepliesLove the prestige raids in original Destiny. Destiny 2 raids are too mechanically heavy on all six players executing perfectly. Add in fixed load outs...and...no thank you. Moments of Triumph requires a fully upgraded set of the special armor for 100% completion. Not sure I’ll bother.

Ehhh i wasnt gonna go for these, I might try to get the few pieces could get out of boredom. I simply have no desire or have the time to do Raids, heck i wont even get half the new masterworks they decided to drop there. I just have no incentive if they dont make it easier to group, or have any kind of optional matchmaking.

I wanna raid in D2 and I raided a lot in D1, loved the challenges. But most of my clan (not even enough to run a raid) has left and I keep holding out with updates they will come back but so far not. So I'm somewhat unhappy that I'm missing out on level 400 weapons for sure. I should be looking to join another clan to get into the D2 raids. I do appreciate the ability to get to max light outside of the raid and it does take longer. But right now solo players are getting it stuck to, I did pre-order Forsaken, so there should be other avenues to get 400 gear beforehand. Say prestige nightfalls or other challenges outside of the raid.

Ofcourse Bungie are going to lock rewards behind raids.. did you honestly think they are going to make "end game" content and not put exclusive gear behind those walls? If you want the gear that bad just do the raid ONCE! is it really that hard to just get 1 clear? Bungie have done the right thing here..

I enjoy the regular raids (that i've done)... i just don't enjoy them enough to deal with 5 other people getting pissy and throwing tantrums while i'm stuck using a weapon i don't like.... I wont be getting the Raid Cats... simply not worth the effort.

1 ReplyD2 has killed me as a raider, I just can't stand raiding anymore. It's not fun, and I know a lot of that is because I can't form a dedicated raid group so I have to resort to lfg every time but every time I go into the raid I go in with the mindset of "okay, lets get this crap over with so I can be done with it.". Go figure; those incompetent managers at Bungie think that locking content behind the raids in an attempt to force me to do them is somehow going to make them fun and make me want to do them more often. At this point Destiny is not a hobby for me anymore, and Bungie is steering it as far in the wrong direction as they possibly can to to "make it a hobby again". This game is literally just a time killer for me until the next few games I'm looking forward to launch.

I'm a self-certified sherpa and guarantee raid carries. I have about 3 normal completions and zero prestige. Did I mention I'm certified? 🙃
