The maps are too small for 6v6. You constantly get team shot by 5 people no matter where you go. Who's bright idea was it to make it 6v6 or just design the maps for 4v4 but then put 4 more players in.... Then run into full stacked teams of 6 with 2.5+ kds....

1 Reply6v6 works for Control. 4v4 Control was too much spawn flipping and “Cap-Point tag” like running to “A” just to lose “B” then running to “B” just to lose “C” and so on. There was no “controlling” of any points in most games. 6v6 usually results in 3 Guardians always rushing or defending a cap flag and makes the push and pull for controlling a “middle flag” the focal point of the game. Usually. And that is the fun of Control. At least, that’s how I see it.

5 days until all of quickplay is 6v6 😔

Played a few matches last night, and other than facing teams packing Fagitron Stance, had a great time. Some of the maps are tuff with a 6v6 format, which is all that more reason to bring back all the old maps from D1. 6v6 seems to spread out teams more and I find less team shooting when playing. Connections were good for the most part, and a lot more action than 4v4 has to offer.
-
IMO normal 4v4 would be way better, not only would loading times be faster (and in a limited time event I want to play as many matches as possible), but team shooting isn't as bad. Or just make Iron Banner Mayhem so I can have dance parties in my bubble.

Yep played one match yesterday and the connection was so bad I never went back in. These maps are horrible especially when your team can't work together, but run off lone wolf style, camp the heavy and immediately die. Then they revive just to go back and camp that heavy again. Meanwhile you have half a team left dying to the enemies stacked team. I hate this matchmaking and quickplay has bevome awful lately. Used to be able to tolerate it, but now it's just bad connection after bad connection and really horrible mismatched teams.

Take it out on all the players who complained on these forums for months (even before D2 was released) that the game should be 6v6 not 4v4. IB was a test with the upcoming changes ALL quickplay games will be 6v6 so all the newer maps will be changed to those numbers and maybe more old D1 maps will be bought back as they were planned to be 6v6.
-
Yeah well. It happen every players. All we have to do keep trying or take tv to trash cuz it is pure crap.
-
I can’t remember many matches at all that were even close in points. Seems to be one side is either punishing or getting trounced. The pre-made have definitely been crushing me.

War is hell. Yer welcome.

2 RepliesIf you watch the roster during load in, you can exit said load in if you see a 6 man team. Fixed!

The respawn toner is the problem. 3 seconds to auto spawn is a mistake. It should be like d1 where you could opt to spawn in after 3 seconds if you pressed X or wait to be auto spawned in 10 seconds. They you can actually switch gear up and wait out an enemy super.

I love 6v6, I could only imagine what pvp would be like with 8v8!
... Who's bright idea was it to make it 6v6 ...
It was the "community" on these forums idea. There were many threads full of people complaining about "teamshooting" but also threads crying they wanted 6v6 back again. That's why there are both. So yes teamshooting is much worse in 6v6 but at least you have 2 more team members...???? I know it's illogical, but that is public internet forums. You can't please all the people all the time.

Adapt to your enviroment, or stay out of said enviroment. If you get teamshot by 5/6 then you know where they are, adjust your approach accordingly. Also 1v5 is a bad situation, you will not win that engagement, disengage and re adjust you approach accordingly, preferably towards then with your team. If they cant see you, then you cant get shot.

2 RepliesFirst you people wanted 6v6, now you complain about it being here. I’m starting to consider cutting open my [Shouldve stayed in a dungeon] and let ants crawl in the wound

3 RepliesIron Banner has ALWAYS BEEN 6V6!!!!!!!! this more recent trend of 4v4 has been months and iron banner has been YEARS
-
Honestly, 6v6 is more fun. Sure some maps aren't ideal, but the only bad one was the Pleasure Gardens on the Leviathan which I thought they removed from rotation.
-
6v6 is soo much fun. Can't wait til qp is 6v6.
-
The only problem with IB is the lousy matchmaking. Because the sandbox teams have an ENORMOUS advantage over randoms. But 6v6 works because it creates just enough chaos to break up the camp-and-team shoot meta (to many angles of approach to watch. However 6v6 doesn't do anything to stop people from "death-balling" around the map.

See you think ridiculous I think 7th column

I like 6v6 personally... When I pop a super to keep a streak alive, I actually get more than one kill now, and smaller maps help this effect. A map like midtown plays way too slow on 4v4. Plus, if you are running with randos against a stacked team with 2.5kd’s, GL’s, and worm husk you would never cap more than one zone. Try slowing down a little, run with teammates, and don’t over extend. Odds are your teammates are not going to follow you...plus being with them allows you to use their rifts, walls, and other buffs.
-
The main problem is the weapon ttk overall is too slow. That plus most abilities are weak.
-
More fun than 4v4, in my opinion.
-
Problem is ttk not map size
-
6v6 is much better IMO. Less death balling in my experience.
