I just played a game of Mayhem where nobody was using Tether or Tractor AMA
Turns out that you actually get to use your abilities. Pretty fun game mode tbh.

4 RepliesLoL I know that abilities that take away other abilities suck, but they're in the game. It's okay for people to play how they want. If I see a bunch of tethers, I switch to ranged supers (hammers, golden gun, arcblade). Complaining about how people play is wrong. Unless you're complaining about exotic pulse rifles. Then you're okay in my book...

Played a game of mayhem a little while back. Matched up against 4 nightstalker hunters. Probably the worst fps experience ive ever had in my life lol pop the hammer run into the tether . . Rinse and repeat lol

8 RepliesPics or it didnt happen. I main hunter, and I will never use Tether in mayhem. It's just a crappy thing to do. Why would you intentionally take other peoples supers away in a game type where the point is to spam supers FOR FUN. It's just a dick thing to do. I can handle one tether, but if the other team has 2 or more hunters and they all use tether, its just horrible and not fun at all. If you want to zap peoples supers, go play another game type where the whole point is to not spam your supers and to actually calculate when to use them. In Mayhem you can just anchor every turn like every 15 seconds.. its stupid.

3 RepliesTypically in mayhem I find teams with sunbreakers, golden gunners, and dawnblade to ruin the fun more then tethers or tractor ever did in mayhem. 1 or 2 of them is fine but a stack of em [spoiler]Oh god...[/spoiler] My friends and I ran 3 sunbreakers all day yesterday. Some of the easiest triple downs ever. The forth was never around tho :( We were running sentinel and bouncing our shields off the wall for fun. That was until 3 or 4 sunbreakers kept showing up.

2 RepliesMayhem has been the most fun I've had in D2, in the past. However, I tried it out tonight.. so many tethers that it literally nullifies everyone, over and over. Was just plain miserable and boring. Ruined the only PVP mode I ever actually enjoyed and wasn't just doing for a milestone.

My friend and I keep on trying a strat we’ve found(might have been done already but I don’t know) so the strat is- Titan runs Bubble, Hunter runs Tether. Place the Bubble, then tether in the bubble, and watch people run in and get tethered in the BUBBLE MELEE RING. A problem with the strat is that there are so many Golden Guns and Hammers which destroy the bubble and tether, speaking of tether at times it activates a bit to slow, but man it’s fun when it works.

2 RepliesBizarre as it seems, I sometimes seem to kill more effectively in Mayhem using my Vigilance Wing. Everyone else seems to be better with Supers than I am.
