If Bungie offered a PvP-free version in parallel with the current title, which would you buy?
Trials/Glory/Valor/IB gear stays on the original only but the rest (standard PvP reward gear and the catalysts) gets moved over into PvE based activities. No additional content to make up for the difference in the two titles, but no PvP related balancing of gear and abilities.

I think if they had two separate versions of the game, one pve and the other pvp, and they did not affect each other, that would be interesting. There's so many ways either game type could be improved while removing the other, but while I might have agreed in the past, I can't agree today. They can balance them separately. They just need a dream team for building the right Destiny pvp experience, and then Chris Barrett's live team for pve!!

Destiny with Zero pvp and 110% focus on pve would be simply amazing. I'd pay 200 dollars for that copy.

I prefer PVE but having the option to play PVP to change things up breaks the monotony. I don’t like how guns and abilities get neutered for the sake of balance. Takes away from the space magic. Overall it should stay but focus shouldn’t be on balance or making it an eSport. The focus should be on a fun super fast TTK with a plethora of 1HK weapons, grenades, and amazing super abilities. Screw balance.

3 RepliesUm, trials, IB, glory and valour are all PVP. You cant have your cake and eat it too. If you don’t like PvP then don’t play PvP. I don’t like shoving my doodah in a car door so i don’t do it. Simple really

You don't need to play the pvp anyway except for call to arms which really doesn't take long usually about 4 or 5 games for you're average player

To some extent I believe PvP is a cancer that encourages shitty people to be more shitty....[i][u][b] BUT [/b][/u] [/i] I am not naive enough to think that I am right all the time or that Bungie should model the game after my specifics wants/needs/desires. People should be able to make the personal decision to play or not to play a mode. I used to play a lot of PvP but don't anymore. That said, I don't mind that the mode is available. I simply choose not to play it anymore for personal reasons. RSI induced arthritis also plays a large role in my decision to be completely honest.

The reason some PvE players hate PvP is because of weapon balancing, right? I thought Bungie had the ability to separately balance them now. How does getting rid of PvP solve anything?

No pvp would be a massive improvement. I probably still wouldnt purchase destiny 2 as i dont like bungie as a developer.

Neither.. I like PvP.. but I like Destiny one PvP.. Destiny 2 PvP is just total garbage. No skill at all, just team shoot with over powered weapons. Camp heavy ammo and sit afraid to engage your enemy until you have heavy ammo. Its so dull, and boring... Oh and not to mention the participation award of getting assists as if they are kills. Just total crap.

1 ReplyPosts like these make no sense to me. Who cares if there is PVP or there isn't PVP? Just don't play pvp if you don't like it. Its a game that thrives on having options for players to choose from when they finish all the content. If all I could do was strikes and public events I would lose my mind. Look, PVP can be annoying at times, but its an essential part to the destiny universe.
