Ornaments aren’t one time use like D1

The visuals and the soundtrack. I also really love all the atmospheric things they add, like having a cabal ship way up in the sky while a cabal public event is happening, and having the leviathan in the sandbox of Nessus. They do an awesome job of hiding things in the sandbox that should be there anyway, but you don’t notice them unless you look.

1 ReplyThe Raids. Not as much Eater of Worlds, but Leviathan and SoS are easily the worst raids they've ever created in my opinion. I know many hardcore raiders will disagree with this and say the opposite, and honestly it feels like the new raids and new wipe mechanics (revive tokens, and death wipe timer) were built with hardcore raiders in mind. But if you don't have a regular team you raid with every week, and rely on LFG it takes significantly more time to develop the type of coordination and team work needed to complete some of these encounters than D1 raids even if everyone is experienced, and the death/wipe mechanics just add an extra level of frustration to the whole process. Worse, it used to be relatively easy to find a group of LFG folks who were all decent enough and it didn't take long to teach someone new how to complete the encounters. Now it seems the majority of LFG groups want everyone to have 500 clears, and I can only assume this has to do with how much more annoying it is to play with less experienced players due to the heavy focus on mechanics which highlights weak links while simultaneously eliminating the ability for clutch hero moments. Great job Bungie. You took a weekly D1 raider, and made him quit raiding.

Mantling. That's about it as far as what cannot be said about D1

- The beautifully designed worlds we play in - Ledge grab - Gunplay - Heroic strikes with competent randos that don’t quit at the first sign of challenge - communicating through emotes to friendly randos - ep is gnarly, but still haven’t beat it - loved getting that worldline sword and anseris sparrow - the way my sparrow engine sounds and the variety of trails (please give me my horn back though) - the music and sound fx in general - grinding faction rallies to get all the gear/ornaments/catalysts - exotic emotes and emote wheel and accessing them from the menu (hope they implement this for more things) - much more functional menu that doesn’t kick you out all the time - the way you see the vendors pop up and talk with you (except for you, Hawthorne... I get it, I never quit) There’s a lot more, but that’s off the top of my head right now.

My favorite part is that a friend gifted the expansion pass to me so that I'll play it with him (honestly why is beyond me). So I guess my favorite part is that friendship is still the endgame? I guess?
Excalibur Umbra does not agree
31 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 7/6/2018 6:50:21 AM4 things that IMO are really hurting this game. -controlling how a gamer plays their game. It's way overdone in D2. -the lack of incentive running repetitive content. Meaning rewards... -the token system - everything felt underpowered and from the feedback just on this forum is enough to know. Edit: Things were cleared up by the OP, the title said something different this morning. I did answer the question on the title you guys see now in my thread. So don't ask me if this my favorite thing about D2 lol.

Ooh i actually thought of something, other than the bit where i turned it off. The very start where it told you when and who you done all the awesome stuff in d1 with. Made me so nostalgic i quickly turned this trash off and played a real game.

2 RepliesHow half assed literally everything in the game is.

How slow it feels compared to D1. The movement, the ttk, the time it takes to get abilities back. I understand taking away things like ohk sticky nades or shoulder charge, but why nerf both damage and the time it takes to get them back? All in all I was at first all for a sequel, but now I wished they just had D1 evolve over time.
