Cataclysm nova bomb is overpowered
Why would bungie give nova bomb tracking, a larger blast radius, and small tracking projectiles that can also one shot. On top of that, it still does minimal damage to the user if they nova bomb themselves point blank. Its uncounterable in crucible.

You do realize it moves so slowly you can just run away? The only real viable to use nova bomb is to suicide with it. Its probably the worst super, with shadow shot coming in a close second.

I wonder how much people would cry about a Lance/Shatter Nova Bomb. Lance it would be coming at you at Mach 3 or there's 3 of them to ruin your day. The salt would be glorious.

2 RepliesFun fact: When you see a Warlock charge his bomb and you're close, run at him and duck under/jump over him. 80% of the time he will screw up and miss his shot, even Slova.

If you can't manage to get out of the way of Cataclysm in PVP, you either made a mistake. Or you need to get good. Cataclysm is such an underpowered joke of a super compared to its Destiny 1 predecessor (Shatter) its not even funny. I once wiped an entire Iron Banner team from almost halfway across the map on Exodus Blue with an "over the horizon" Nova Bomb. They literally never saw what hit them. As long as you are not camping in a corner.....or the NB is getting delivered at very short range....Cataclysm is very easy to outrun.

Which is why I haven't used it yet. Running is futile if you stop once. The axions are op It soaks too much damage to shoot. Almost the lesser skilled Nova bomb in a way. It's just fire and forget.

Believe it or not you can detonate it by shooting it before it hits you.

Ive been playing d2 since day one and i can count the amount of times the novabomb seekers in crucible killed someone on one hand... Its the only one and done super in the game... how the hell is it op...

As a cataclysm user, I’d say it’s pretty balanced
