Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition turning off durning play

So this all started with dusting off Destiny 2 and getting in to the first expansion. Durning a cutscene during one of the story missions for curse of osiris it would freeze every time same part and console would power off. No way around besides to skip. Now the Leviathan Raid has two parts it will always freeze on. Gantlet when its final faze and everyone runs same thing powers off system. Now the most annoying part. The calus fight. When I go void room and am about to leave shuts down my system every time. Never had an other issues on any other game until this. Please Bungie do we have answers for this??? I would love to finish the raid again. Xbox support seems to think it's a game issue. Also I have deleted the game and re installed it plus re updated it no progress.

  • I have the exact same problem!! Like the exact same places in the raid, the X1X shuts down and upon restart it says there might be a ventilation problem...but the console is in a well ventilated place and is cool everywhere to the touch. This has only happened with Destiny 2 in the raid for me in the exact same places you mention. All other games I have had no issues with. I think it is odd that it consistently and now across multiple users happens in the same locations in game. Hopefully we can get answers either from Bungie, or Xbox

    • It seems kind of odd that it would be a game issue if your console is shitting itself. If it was a game issue then the game would most likely just shut itself down without your console powering off. Even though the One X is the most advanced console on the market right now, it is in no way exempt from any kind of damage. So the problem is most likely with your console. First thing that comes to mind is the vent that keeps it from overheating. Is anything blocking it? That usually causes the console to shut itself down if it gets too hot and risks damage
