Does anyone else think that the Warmind Heroic Strikes are just broken?

I was playing the Lake of Shadows (I am Light 357 and my team is roughly 360-ish, keep in mind the recommended Light level is 350.) [b]IT TOOK US 45+ MINUTES BECAUSE BLACKOUT WAS JUST RUINING US!![/b] The Phalanx Shield Blasts just destroyed us, the Taken blast things on the walls are considered melee so it instantly killed us, Grask's melee has an extreme amount of range (and hardly any way to tell) so it just destroyed us. Thrall's would teleport and instantly killed us. Yeah, I guess Void Singe is nice (and a little deadly when it needs to be) and the Guardian buff that comes with each Heroic Strike is a little nice. But that doesn't compensate for the INSTANT DEATH from a melee. Oh yeah, I should mention that [i]Shield Blast goes through walls and terrain. [/i] I think that the modifier should change more instead of constantly having the same type of modifier over and over again. Blackout shouldn't be a constant, and you shouldn't have to be Light 370 to do a Light 350 mission. [i]P.S.: I also feel like it is kinda dumb that a Heroic Strike is more difficult than a Nightfall[/i]

    • Blackout isn't hard to deal with You just have to be patient and stay back. I ran 9 yesterday and 1 time we had some deaths from blackout. Think I only had to redo a boss once.

        Isn't it the same as the lightswitch modifier in D1 except with no radar now? Grounded is the one that gets me, I'm so used to jumping when being multi-shot, bombarded or surrounded.

        • Effects like blackout can be enjoyable for those looking for a challenge but extremely frustrating for those who just want to utilize the playlist. My approach is that when I see a modifier I don't want to deal with (blackout and glass are the big offenders for me), I simply don't play strikes. The modifiers change every day at reset, so I'll just wait for a set I enjoy.

          • While doing my three strikes for the faction rally yesterday this one came up. I was a little surprised that the shield blast counted as melee and one-shot me but after that I made sure to play at a distance and be mindful of where the wall blasts were. With void singe we melted the boss before the first wave of adds even spawned in. All in all it wasn't a big deal.
