Make all supers do more damage to PVE target.

  • For Voidwalkers: 1. Chaos tree Nova (slowva) bomb can be shot down by the enemy in PVE, currently. This should never be the case, but it has happened to me multiple times in prestige nightfall. 2. 'Slowva' bomb also needs to create the seekers every time it is thrown. There are currently situations where it explodes on contact with the first enemy and nothing else happens. 3. The hunger tree Nova bomb simply needs a larger explosion radius. Right now it feels like you need to actually hit a Crucible combatant for it to kill anything. One-hitting targets on direct impact is Golden Gun's job. We're talking about a BOMB here people. As a Voidwalker main since Destiny launch I'm pleading for a return to Nova Bomb awesomeness.

      Thanks for the feedback. Any specifics on which ones you think need more damage output or are you just asking for a net change across the board? I saw a separate thread specific to Stormcallers.

      • was playing gunslinger last night, rarely ever play it. had the 3 shot gold-gun, shot a red bar Minotaur HE DIDNT DIE! a super that's only good for 3 kills AT BEST that cant even kill a shielded red enemy on one shot. the orb creation seemed subpar, 2 orbs for a crit. and the precision hit buff doesnt make up for the super's shot coming.

        The amount of upvotes just shows a staggering amount of people that are clueless to certain buffs that help out damage in general. I will say a few supers do need buffing. -Golden gun longer duration for both trees. 3 shot tree should be ohk on all smaller yellows. Each consecutive precision shot from either tree should inflict bonus damage more than the previous shot. -sentinel shield needs arc strider like reach and damage. Shield bash should not reduce super duration. Bubble should stay WoD, but also give a short duration of BoL. -striker should have death from above tacked on for both trees. -stormcaller should do extra damage the longer it stays on a target, like coldheart. -nova bomb should have a longer reach rather that falling quickly like a fat kid on a trampoline

      • Golden Gun needs a buff in PVE. if i got 6 shots whom ever is unlucky enough to on the receiving end needs to die. exclusion being bosses and mini bosses (the kind you only see 2 of in a strike)

      • I personally do not think ALL of them need to be buffed, but with that said... Arc strider, hammers, and striker do a decent amount of damage and are in a good spot. The ones that need the help the most are Golden Gun (2 shots to kill a minotaur, 1 left over to waste on a trash mob) and storm caller (one entire super, from start to finish, cannot kill a shielded major or unshielded ogre while arc strider can kill it and still have 1/2 of its super left). Those two (GG, Stormcaller) by far do the least amount of damage. Overall though, Sentinel could use a small damage increase or at least a damage increase to majors or orange/yellow bar enemies. Dawnblade could also use a small overall buff and an increase to shield damage and orange/yellow bar enemies. Slowvabomb is pretty strong, but the other option doesnt do enough DoT or enough initial damage. Especially considering its a 1-time use super. Arcstrider is in a perfect spot right now, as are hammers. Striker could use a small buff to its damage output on majors or ultras, but overall it's not that bad. Like I said, the ones who need the most help are storm caller and golden gun. Storm caller is decent for clearing trash mobs, but absolute garbage if you have any majors in the room and its the same with golden gun. The 6 shot is useless for making orbs or clearing out enemies and the other option is good for making orbs if you are accurate, but not a good choice for taking out majors. Its pretty much nighthawk or nothing. If nothing else just giving a couple of those classes an increase to the amount of damage dealt on majors, middle-tiered/shielded enemies. That would open up the ability to move on to kill more things if you didn't have to focus everything you have on a middle-tiered enemy. If a shotgun and kill majors with 1 shot, then supers shouldn't be having this much difficulty.

      • Gunslingers bottom tree could use a little love it would be nice if on top of what it already dose it did what D1 did and overpenetrate targets and make them explode

      • Stormcaller definitely needs a buff. That super is so weak that you spend more than half of your super killing a high health orange bar and a yellow bar.

        • Why pve target why not pvp target... Is PVE in this game hard or something once you get Max light everything becomes easy. Dumbed down this game to minimum. Brainless turds can't figure out simple concepts even though they are plainly stated in patch notes.

        • just did the tremors heroic with my Titan striker, and tried to use my super to kill the 4 knights with arc shields, but despite slamming the ground in the middle of their group and then charging into a few of them and slamming again, not one died.

          • PVE titans, shelid and smash. In most instances, the one reason to play those is because of there neutral game. Both supers are close range and it is foolish to approach most strike bosses with either. If the boss doesn't flat out kill you with their slam attacks, the wall behind you will. The only super usable globally in any scenario featuring a boss fight is Sunbreaker.

          • Titan sentinel could definitely do with a buff, especially ward of dawn. Add a weapons of light-like perk to it or something. Striker is ok, maybe a stronger initial attack. The dawnblade airborne dodge shouldn't affect the super meter so much, maybe add a singe to the swords so more dps could be done to the same target. Gunslinger could also do with a little bit of TLC.

          • Yep. D2 is no where near the feeling of being a guardian legend that D1 made you feel. I think they purposely did it to make you keep coming back in hope that you score something magical and because all the pvpers kept complaining everything was over powered, which I think is the reason they put snipers into power guns instead of normal. In D2 everything is lackluster. The guns, the armor, the supers. Even the environment. D1 definitely felt better. If they would of made D2 a expansion/update to D1 it would of been better. I keep feeling like i should go back and play D1.

          • It's fallen on deaf ears, man. Bungie doesn't want you to feel powerful in this game, no matter what they tell you. Sure, they threw us a few bones and made a few more things more powerful, but overall it's still a weakfest. "Become Legend" is the biggest Destiny lie ever.

            • As an Arcstrider main, Arcstriders do not need more PvE super damage. We already destroy every major in one or two hits, it’ll get boring if we can one shot bosses in super

                • Man, I agree so much. Just three days ago I was playing with my third character, a Striker Titan. I was on Titan and I went in a Lost Sector. There were some Red-Bar Knights and I decided to use my Super. I ran straight against one of them and SLAM! I activated it! But... after the first smash, that f***** was still alive with 1/3 of energy. I felt soooo bad... like, WTF? How is this even possible? And things like this happen also with other Supers, like with the Stormcaller sometimes I need 2 hits to kill a Red-Bar Goblin o shit like that... it's so bad, so annoying, so sad. Things like that really makes me feel so weak compared to what I was in Destiny 1.
