A big ass lore rant
I'm gonna vent some lore problems I have and please do so too in the comments
The speakers death was meaningless
Ghaul is a joke
Hawthorne is a husk of boringness
D2 doesn't feel any different from when it began
The Vanguard are still boring
Rise Of Iron didn't happen apparently
Why isn't Shaxx in PVE (idgaf If he's the crucible commentator ,he has more development than Zavala and Shaxx is just a godamn voice)
Every DLC story wise has no connection to the next
Osiris was the greatest disappointment I've ever witnessed in a video game
Saint-14's death was utterly useless and I'm still angry about it

He ended up in the infinite forest trying to find a way to destroy the Vex Mind Panoptes. Reasonable assumption since Rasputin was created during the Golden Age to protect Humanity. He may or may not have known what happened to the Iron Lords in Sector 6 before the SIVA crisis. But I am sure afterwards he knew, and while Rasputin was willing to kill hundreds of Guardians to keep SIVA from Humanity. It didn't lift a transistor to stop the Fallen. That would have left a bad taste in anyone's mouth. I kinda have hope for the new one, but that entire story should have been in the game. Should have been the led up to the story of Warmind not a after thought. We should have played story missions that gave us that story long before we actually meet Ana. Also would have been a great way to discover she was still alive instead of surprise here I am.

This is just crying about bad story writing but it does makes sense. Yes siva is mentioned in the game. Theres tons of lore on the scannable objects. We haven't been back to the reef but so what? Why would you want to? Also prince aldrin or whatever he's called. His. Ship is on mars. You got to find it though. So we will probably go back to the reef at one point.

She makes us haul our ass to get the Javelin and claims “it’s the only thing that can kill Xol” when in reality our NORMAL WEAPONS can DAMAGE Xol!

Ghost has turned out to be the worst character by far. I'm spoken to by some machinery and Light from the Traveler that has no connection to narrative other than speaking for our Guardian in a modern (our age) way that makes no sense in the time period Destiny takes place. Whenever it speaks, I just monotonously say, "STFU Donnie." Ghaul was such a little bitch. He is a Cabal version of Bane from Dark Knight Rises, but throws a tantrum at the end of the campaign, claiming that we know nothing of sacrifice. Apparently, he's fluent in English. Osiris and any main NPC do not wear helmets in battle. Brother Vance turned from a wise prophet to an Osiris obsessor and pretty sure due to his heightened senses from being blind can smell Osiris from a mile away and enjoys it. Ana Bray is actually dead and the character we follow in Warmind is a Cyborg version of her, as clued by the digitization found in her eyes in an HD cutscene. Makes sense why she controls Rasputin, and is likely to be an agent of the Warmind. 'Warmind' is a very lame and unoriginal name for it's DLC. What is the next expansion gonna be called? GUN? Gods of Mars sounded cool, but I guess far too ambitious of a name for a DLC that is insufficient in content. Prince Uldren crash landed safely on Mars due to the Queen's protective barrier upon her last give when fighting the Dreadnaught. Hawthorne eats lots of chocolate chip cookies because she is what eats. Lord Saladin needs to stop talking shit about his fellow Titans in the Vanguard. Zavala is a respected man and Lord Radio Shaxx helped turn the tides in the battle of Twilight Gap. For all you female book readers, Twilight Gap [i][b]is not[/b][/i] a vampire vagina. There's lots more but I'll end that for now

The visionaries have left Bungie. Most of those who remain are participation trophy acolytes of mediocrity. Thus D2 was borne of the “at least I tried” “true intrinsic joy” mentality. Don’t preorder the fall expansion.

2 RepliesQuick question... what story was used in Destiny that was written by Staten? I'm just curious. I feel like I can guess that it stopped after TTK. D2 does not appear to have any reason to be throwing out all these exciting and mysterious lore characters.

Xol was the weakest of the worm gods, and wasn’t ascendant. We defeated the most powerful hive god oryx, therefore we are the strongest by sword logic and stronger than Xol. Plus we are ascendant. The prince was known to have crashed on mars before D2 came out Osiris was a letdown for me primarily because I’m Lord he was the most powerful warlock and guardian. This guy lobbed novabombafter novabomb obliterating fallen during twilight gap. Ana was broadcasting messages for help on official vanguard channels so he obviously heard her. We had to clear out all the adds, he didn’t. He simply transmatted into the entrance of Rasputin. I never once assumed that little ass room was the core of a solar system spanning super weapon infrastructure. Gaul wasn’t that bad. He had pretty much every light based power for a time. He got wasted by the traveller though. I assume no one mentions siva anymore beachside the cabal stomped the city and they were seen as the imminent threat.

It's mind blowing that ghaul did more damage to the guardians than Oryx. Nobody should get out of there with no damage. There is nothing dramatic about the speakers death because they didn't build up his character and they didn't even say that he died. Everyone just ignored it 🤣 The funniest thing I saw in a while was people calling destiny 2s story good or the fact that they call this a story.

You dont even NEED the glowy stick to kill the worm. Bullets feel much more effective than the occasionaly javelin. Hell, Sleeper outputs more damage, why doesn Rasputin arm everything with Sleeper Simulants? There is about 3 scannables on Mars. The first Lost Sector in the cave has a crashed ship, which belongs to that reef prince guy. It's a scannable.

Yet he solely relied on us when a literal god worm of untold power attacks his direct facility with an army of hive We had vaults in the reef and Felwinter’s Peak... Osiris was a dawnblade while we were raiding the Vault of Glass (4 years ago when it didn’t exist). Though I think there’s a video on this I just never watched it Also; Traveler is awake for the first time in centuries, it’s been 9 months and we’ve done nothing with it
