GIVE US DEDICATED SERVERS! I'm so sick of the lag!
Bungie people on PC are leaving your game and on console I would think just because u have no dedicated servers, pvp is not fun its a shitfest with everyone lagging their shit out, getting shot through walls, ghost bullets ect. BO4 got dedicated servers why cant u! ITS ABOUT TIME U DO!

1 ReplyDedicated servers wouldn't "end lag" cost to buy them as well as upkeep on them wouldn't be worth it and depending on where those servers are hosted, for example, Canada, people would have worse and worse connections to those servers the farther they are from it. Granted, it would improve it [b]regionally[/b] but overall wed likely see the same amount of lag, if not more.

4 RepliesDedicated servers don’t fix lag. They just make it easier for the game to compensate for it. They can’t magically make someone with a poor connection suddenly into having a good one.

Lag would still be a "thing" even with dedicaded servers.But I agree that having DS is better than not having them at all.

2 RepliesI can safely say if Destiny 3 doesn't have dedicated servers my clan of over 40 won't be getting it; we're sick of this lag. We've already decided to not pre-order; we've lost faith in bungie now; and I'm sure there are thousands of other Destiny 2 owners that have decided the same thing.

I played against someone who was absolutely using lag to cheat... Empties a magazine into the skull of someone whos just standing on an IB capture point.... They aren't taking damage, all of a sudden they just up and disappear and start shooting me from behind. Funny how the lag only lasted long enough for them to circle behind me. Happened multiple times, only with this one character. Then in another match I killed two players out of their supers in short succession, got a private message flaming that basically said "bye, lol" and then I started getting messages "contacting destiny servers", then kicked to menu and had to reboot my fugging modem to get back online. If destiny is going to have competitive game modes, they have to have private servers to prevent direct attacks against other players, and they need to assume damage so that if someone is lagging, sorry but a fair hit is a fair hit, and as soon as your lag clears up you get instakilled. You're the one with the bad connection, other players shouldn't be punished for your bad equipment.

BO4 won’t have dedicated servers overall. You remember gears of war 3, that game had dedicated servers, then they silently removed it. They were trying to make online smooth. Highly doubt they would keep dedicated servers for a games life span.

2 RepliesDedicated servers stopping lag is a joke and an excuse. Play some of the other games that had dedicated servers and you will see lag there too. Its all about connections. When I get on and play against a bunch of Brittish or Russian players, my lag is through the roof.

8 RepliesIn Trials, 2 teammates and myself clearly hit an alone opponent multiple times who should of been eliminated instantly; instead he took very minimal damage and was able to kill all three of us in less than 4 seconds. This isn't an isolated incident; it happens all the time. Is this lag due to lack of dedicated servers or is it just cheating?

It'll never happen. Just enjoy the game for what it is(or don't). We're the little guys in this scenario, and Bungie knows that even though dedicated servers might make pvp less frustrating, it's also expensive...and Destiny is a PVE based franchise. I know, that seems REALLY hard to believe since they gutted PVE for PVP "balance" (less balanced than ever, btw... whomever gets the constant power ammo wins), but there you have it. I get frustrated sometimes, but I was playing capture the flag(Bungie calls it Control) twenty years or so ago on 256k internet I think it was...or I should say, I played it once and hated it. That was terribly laggy and we were all local. I know, I know..times have changed. Still.

The player base was begged for dedicated servers for over 3 years now...don't see them implementing dedicated servers anytime soon...

I'm on PC too so Imagine if there is a small Aus player base on PC what would happen. We find people from Asia and even Europe because there are no dedicated servers, we are a smaller country and we have bad net yes we all have bad net and most of us cant do anything about it because the government are -blam!- heads that want money and giving us internet that costs them money is not a priority anyway they r basically excluding a whole portion of a country because they don't have dedicated servers plus the servers are so easily hackable, exploitable and terrible for PC players. People in Australia rely on dedicated servers because we all have bad net and the "best" host will be terrible compared to dedicated servers.

People have been asking for dedicated servers since the start of D1 when pvp was better to play. There is no way they will shell out the money for dedicated servers in D2, you are wasting your time and breath.
