Ive cleared Level 7 finally, and would like to share what I've learned.
Regular Mob Waves:
Use the javelins on trash mobs to speed up the waves and make it so that you have more time for the boss. The dps it provides to the boss is less than what you could do otherwise honestly. Don't hold back supers or heavy ammo, as there will be an abundance of orbs and bricks of heavy. Work together, especially with the crota swords.
Bosses:
The best way to DPS the boss honestly is to utilize what the guardians already have. Have everyone run void weapons. Have one guy run tractor cannon. Have around 4 novabombs, 3 tethers, one bubble titan and 1 sun breaker with melting point.
Once the boss spawns in, have every one group up and drop a bubble. Have the Nightstalkers tether everything over and over for orbs (Orpheus Rigs), have the Sun Titan run in, tractor cannon and melting point the boss, and let the Warlocks spam Novas. Every boss dies in a matter of 30 or so seconds. Even Level 7 Ogre died with 45 seconds to spare.

Loadouts:
I can't stress enough how important it is to sync all your weapons to void. Tractor Cannons new ability increases void damage by 50%, when combined with tether and melting point, you're whole fireteam will be doing well over 100% bonus damage. Essentially, it cuts the bosses health in half, making it twice as easy to kill.
Tip 1:
When you reach wave 5, you have to disable 3 rifts all at the same time. Follow your greenberry teammates (green dots) to each rift, 3 teams of 3 can coordinate easier by following this tip.
Tip 2:
Players below 350 will hit immunes on Level 6 and Level 7 enemies. So make sure to be a manageable level.
Tip 3: Courtesy of "You Stop That"

Have one player or two run Risk Runner, for better add clearing.
How To Build A 9 Man Fireteam:
So you have to convince a random or two in the patrol to help you out. Invite them to the party, ask them nicely if your friends can join them and they back out (or help out even) do this with two randoms and youll have three seperate fire teams, each with 2 openings. Have everyone in party fill their fireteams and youll have 3 teams of three.
Rewards (As Its Being Asked Alot):
At Wave 3, it was 2 mars tokens and a blue. Same at Wave 5 I believe. These were low level drops. At Wave 7, I got 4 Shaders, a new emblem, and a powerful armor drop. Others in my team reported weapons and a ghost shell. YOU NEED A KEY TO OPEN THE CHEST AT LEVEL 7.
Wave 7 Setup Location
We used Futurescape for our runs. On the left side of the map, alongside the building Ana resides in, you'll fine a walkway. On the far end of it, a Patrol Major target normally spawns. We set up our bubble right where he spawns more or less. The reason for this is because only 2 shriekers can reach you here, and if for some reason the bubble goes down/something goes wrong, you cam quickly fall back behind the pipes there.
I'll be answering any questions and adding additional tips from the comments as applicable. Please keep things non-toxic and be helpful to each other.

1 ReplyYup, and when you see someone with the Tractor Cannon, use void damage!!! I have tried, I run around and show it to each guardian, but they don’t get it.....ugh.

Nice!!

1 ReplyGreat post, thank you!

1 ReplyProbably the best explanation so far, cheers m8.

1 ReplyThis game mode sucks. Wrangling randoms is nearly impossible and needing to rely on the kindness of strangers just to try and form a team ? This company is beyond backwards. If your going to make a mode so hard why not just make it a raid light activity ? Aside from months down the line I don’t see how I’ll ever get this done with randos. Great idea but pointless for me. Thanks Bungie. I wish they had like any kind of matchmaking as well at least then maybe we could find 9 people.

1 ReplyRan it with a team of 9 last night that insisted on using the sleeper simulant for some reason after I told them multiple times to use void everything because I’d be using tractor cannon...never beat the wave 7 boss. People swear sleeper is the end all be all

1 Replymuch appreciated

1 ReplyEdited by Gus Man B: 5/15/2018 9:56:36 PMI got lucky last night, when i spawned in late, there where like 9 players in EP and then I joind, it was a success. I then decided to activate a 2nd one and everyone stuck around and another successful sorty. So now I am a happy campers, I will soon have my Sleeper!!

1 ReplyCan you bump please

1 ReplyThanks for this rundown. I didn’t actually realize that EP was this team intensive—I tried it expecting it to be similar to the Archon’s Forge but I didn’t understand the mechanics, plus I was sorely under leveled (I was one-shotted by a thrall. A thrall!!). I’ll pay more attention next time I go back to try instead of just leaping into the fray.

1 ReplyI wish I could save this post

44 RepliesEdited by Rebellis: 5/14/2018 2:22:27 AMI thought escalation protocol was suppose to be endgame content solo players could run with other solo players in the area. You know, like Court of Oryx or Archon's Forge. Guess not. Man bungie hates solo players.

4 RepliesBeat this yesterday and my god is it fun. Got the Shotgun, Ghost and Bond on my first completion!

I’m sure you’re busy, but do you know what the ghost shell looked like? Is it that red energy one?

5 RepliesEdited by MIM: 5/15/2018 6:24:06 AMhad a random left in our instance on mars the other day, added him and msged him if he wouldn't mind leaving. Legend left and we were able to run the full 9. Shout out to that guardian, absolute legend. But seriously, Why can't we take a raid team or full 9 team in for this activity.

2 RepliesIt just amazes me that after all this time, all the bitching and moaning, the streamers who visited Bungie to supposedly provide "player" feedback, we still have shit for loot in events like this. Bungie has learned absolutely ZERO. This content was already coded and existed within our game from the time we bought D2. My guess is they didn't change a single thing. I can't believe the streamers thought the loot for this event was worth fighting for. All they wanted to do was keep the door open for being invited back. What a joke.

1 ReplyEdited by Canubiis: 5/15/2018 1:34:20 PMA clip of the final boss. Reminds me of Court of Oryx where there some boss would have shields up until you kill the minions. And by the way I agree that higher light level of at least 360 is the way to go but just so you know we completed with only 3 360+ people in our team

1 ReplyGreat tips. Thanks. I had a hard time with this yesterday. Only had 6 and no hunters.

1 ReplyGood stuff Dude! 👍🏻
