•Don't read guides, figure it all out on your own especially the hidden collectibles
•Don't hoard engrams and mods for when it launches to level up quickly. Already seeing videos advising this
•Do the raid lair blind without any knowledge of it
•Take escalation protocol slowly, maybe do one class a week
•Do the treasure chests blind. Get a general idea of where they are then find them through exploring
•Don't buy anything from Xûr
I've always done these things with Destiny and it's such a better experience. Yall rush in and complain that there's no content because you grind 24/7

Don;t download it - just watch a 1.5 hour stream with the campaign walkthrough and go to sleep

1 ReplyHow to enjoy warmind: dont buy it.

4 Repliesthe problem is that the people who want destiny to be great aren't the people that will play like how you described, the people who played D1 through its life are the grinders, the MMO players the min-maxers the people who want to make builds, the people who want to be efficient.

1 ReplyOkay here's what's being said here: Even with random rolls, Destiny has never been a game that rewards power leveling well. It's never had the sort of endless content that would let you race to max level and then spend months on end playing it with endless content. You have the same strikes, the same raids, and the same PVP. If you are at max level on Day 1 of an expansion, you're going to run out of shit to do a lot quicker. In D1, you could hide the lack of content by convincing yourself running a strike 100 times over and over for a chance at a gun to drop and then said gun MAYBE having a good roll. That's the dirty secret of this game: it's never had the sort of content that would keep people playing 24/7/365. People convinced themselves that running the same content over and over and over again for a chance at a chance for a god roll was content. It's not. It never was. Destiny 2 was never designed to be played hardcore 24/7. Because Destiny really wasn't. Go on. Let's imagine Destiny at the same period of time D2 is in: just before HoW drops, but with no random rolls. All that would've kept anyone playing was the frustrating leveling systems the game had, because you would've had all the guns by then. I mean, hey, in either game, if you wanted or want to no life it on day 1, go for it. Have fun. But that way lies you running out of shit to do really fast. It always has.

LOL, tellin' people how to play the game they bought with their hard earned $$. Get lost :)
-
I'm not really one for egg hunting. That'll probably be the one thing I do on that list
-
I did this for HoW, and I will say it killed the experience. Wish I didn’t hit 34 on to characters the first week. Doesn’t hoarding engrams not work anymore since the engram power level is determined when it drops?
-
1 ReplyI do everything but two things, why? Well: Alright. I'm that guy that hoards up engrams and mods. This is because the only reason to play after Curse of Osiris was to merely act in preparation for expansions later down the road. My own mindset gave me the incentive to continue playing. If I didn't hoard engrams, I wouldn't have much reason to play after I completed the Lost Prophecies. The other thing I don't do is go in raids blind. I used to do this in D1, but since Taken King I've had very bad experiences, especially on Leviathan. Plus randoms are very selective. If you don't know what you're doing, you're just inconveniencing them and most require you to have certain gear and builds as well. So, side note but, your points are definitely valid, but there's one thing that really affects these points (especially blind raids) and it's something we don't have much control of. Get friends. Good friends. Good friends make the destiny experience 200% more enjoyable, gaurenteed. ...but bad friends will sap the experience, gaurenteed.

80 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 5/6/2018 2:32:43 PM
Yall rush in and complain that there's no content because you grind 24/7
So, you drag things out creating an illusion that there is a lot more to do than there actually is so you can say. "Good job Bungie" got it. Why don't you tell everyone why there is no raid? D1 vanilla first expansion had one so come again about how gamers are grinding 24-7 when there literally is not going to be any content other then stupid cosmetics? Edit: Always nice to see post like this when a gamer has No forum history and they don't even bother to make any replies...
Do the raid lair blind without any knowledge of it
Highly recommend. DMH has always done it this way and it might take us a while, but it's so much more fun figuring everything out for yourselves.

1 ReplyThis doesn't work, you know that right? There isn't enough content, end of. The difference would be a few hours.

Don't have any expectations. That's all you need to know.

I was thinking pop a few Vicodin then dig in. To each his own i guess

6 RepliesYou missed a pretty big one... •Don’t play Warmind I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy it if you don’t put yourself through that mess.

2 Replies-- Play a different game that doesn't throttle your progression. -- Read salty posts on Bnet. -- Eat lots of popcorn.

18 RepliesMy game plan when Warmind releases is to continue playing God of War and Fornite, easy as that. It's nice playing polished games instead of a beta.

3 Replies<eject destiny 2> <insert any other game>

Those are good suggestions. Mine are... 1. Keep expectations very low 2. Expect it to be something they developed long ago and was stripped from the main game to make more money. 3. Take your time with it. No need to grind 24/7 on any of this stuff.

Agreed.

1 ReplyDoing new raid lair tomorrow Must have 9999+ completions
