There’s no such thing as a solo player to me. I used to be a “solo player” back in TTK but when I couldn’t go past 280 I thought, maybe I should try the raid and nightfall. Now I’m always doing a raid at least once a week and I’m in a clan called raiders of the galaxy.

so sick of this topic. Solo players should play the solo content and not whine that the multiplayer content isn't available for them. Problem solved.

I have nothing against solo players, I play 80% solo. I'm against solo players asking for the game (particularly endgame) to be catered toward them. Destiny is a co-op game, the game is designed around trying to get people to play together. Creating endgame content for solo players is going to defeat the entire premise of Destiny being a co-op game. After all, why bother trying to raid with 6 players when I can achieve the same end goal by myself. Now sure, 'if I want to play co-op, I still can', but that's not the point. Bungie [i]should[/i] be trying to coax us out of our comfort zones to dip our toes into co-op end game. If you're absolutely against co-op play, or think that you're [i]entitled[/i] to solo endgame, then you've chosen the wrong genre of game to match your playstyle. Rather than ask that the game change to suit your needs, you might need to try a different game. This viewpoint may be hypocritical if you saw that I played D2 almost exclusively solo, but that's kind of my point. Bungie's catered too much to solo players, as long as you're in a clan, there's no need to interact with anyone else. Why bother raiding when someone else can do it and I get rewards for it. No need to do a nightfall, either. As long as I'm bumming around in Patrol, I can get to max level. D1 forced me out of my comfort zone if I wanted max level. And for a co-op game, I think that's how it should be. If you want a single player game, don't buy a co-op game.

It's a multiplayer game what did they expect? You can't play every game solo lmao just use lfg stop complaining about it. This let's help everyone mentality is why d2 is a casual and easy mess.

This isn't about Co-op players versus Solo players. This is about TOXIC players (who need to run down others so that they can feel good about themselves) and non-toxic ones. The problem is that such toxic people usually make a beeline for the places that (they believe) confer the most status, or where they can prove (to themselves) how much better they are than others. Which is why you see---in this community----a much higher number of them among raiders and end-game PVP players. You are not responsible for them, and how they choose to act. You are only responsible for your own choices. Do not cooperate with what they wish to do to this community....and then happily go about your day. See at the front, Guardian.

In general it’s the problem with Forums and social media that some people think their view is the only one of importance or that they can just say what they like with impunity while hiding behind a keyboard. Seems there are some that don’t understand there are players that may have social/behavioural issues that prevent them from playing with others - why when society quite often misunderstands and mistreats them should they then also be punished by not being able to play games of interest to them because only Co-Op matters. Think there are many that could learn by viewing the world from another’s point of view and use that to temper responses and opinions. Having autism within the family really teaches lessons on how to value the view of others, not be dismissive and most importantly not be rude, obnoxious and down right horrible just for the sake of it or because one thinks it’s funny

I was a co-op player in d1, but am now a solo player. Friends left me for people who can play more often, and the clan I joined doesn't play with me because they don't know if I'm good or not... So I'll just sit here doing public events over and over until I go even more insane.

The thing with solo players, especially myself, is that we're always able to adapt to situations somewhat quickly and are able to focus on alot more without other people making call outs and whatnot. Thats not to say that co-op players can't focus while talking to eachother, but its much easier to keep track of a situation, for me atleast, when i'm alone, and even sometimes i commentate my gameplay just to make a mental note. I'm a strong co-op player, i'm a stronger solo player. If I realize that I can't do an activity alone, such as the raids, then I'll go look for help, but i thrive off of challenging activities, such as the Black Spindle mission in d1. That was a really fun solo experience. Hopefully the "Hive escalation event" will be a great solo experience, much like the archons forge or prison of elders was for me. TL;DR: Just because we're solo players doesn't mean we're incapable, or that we dont ever want help with anything. Just let us try it on our own a couple hundred more times then we'll see about that help

I am a solo player. I am not treated like dirt. I can do better than pretty much anyone who reads this comment And yes, I do it with non meta weapons and armor

The game needs more matchmaking options, a huge majority of this player base does not even go on the forums, and guided games are trash and no one uses it, my clan tried to use guided games to help a fellow guardian clear the raid but we ended up waiting about 2 hours to find someone and when we did find someone, he didn't even speak English and he left immediately. Btw Solo players make up a huge [b]Majority[/b] of this games player base so saying F*** them is not the way to go.

I still don’t understand how the -blam!- the morons at Bungie went from such a good place in RoI, where you had a valid route for both solo and group players to reach the top, to the bullshit we have now.
