I wanted to get your thoughts on this...anyone have any lore facts on her?

1 ReplyAna Bray and The Exo Stranger are two completely separate deities.

<It's almost as if, everytime a new female character gets introduced, someone theorizes that it's the Stranger... who shouldn't exist anymore unless the Sundaresh Theory is true... but even then...>
-
1 Replypretty sure the stranger got ret-conned along with the majority of the lore , considering they got rid of the grimoire completely.

The Stranger is, as others have pointed out, an Exo - but i'd love to see her return in some sinister fashion!

1 ReplyEdited by Dingse3: 4/25/2018 4:04:33 PMNah, the exo stranger was originally a friend and companion to Osiris. (an obi wan kenobi) type. They really didn’t weave her rewritten character arc very well in D1. Which is why she just transmatted away after vanilla never to be heard from again. That cut-scene at the Ishtar Archives where she is speaking to someone via coms. Was likely Sagira or Osiris.
A guardian is on a journey to save an advanced AI war-machine named Rasputin from the hive, he is our only hope to keep The Last City safe from the threats of unknown jealous aliens. In our journey, we encounter a cocky blue-skinned slick haired alien dude called The Crow (looks exactly like Prince Uldren, acts exactly like Cayde-6). He points a gun at us at first, but we become friends eventually. Our adventures of finding clues to exact the location of Rasputin leads us through ruins of Earth, caverns of Venus, dungeons of Moon, buried cities in Mars eventually to a temporary location which looks like a Temple of cultists. Here we meet a legendary warlock named Osiris and his assistant called The Exo Stranger (hence she seemed to be able to disappear into thin air during the first mission in Venus, because she was speaking to Sagira in another timeline as revealed from Curse of Osiris that he is capable of visiting all simulated timelines created by the Vex). Osiris provides us guidance and wisdom in our journey with his knowledge to help us find the last hope for the safe harbor of humanity. In the last moments, we end up in the rings of Saturn on a dreadnought where we finally meet Rasputin - an exo male (think Cayde-6 character model, and that bloody exo sitting against a wall from promotional materials). We save him from the Hive in the end game.
5 RepliesNo the stranger is actually interesting. Can't say I care about Ana, especially due to that portrayal. Though where the "you're not allowed to investigate your past" rule is another thing. That's literally never been a rule lol. Then again let me guess, grimoire. The story telling is such a dumpster fire.

The fact that we don't know who the Stranger is, is testament to the folly of Luke Smith's thinking.

4 RepliesEdited by piratepatchy243: 4/25/2018 4:12:04 AMI think there's a big theory The Stranger is one the Istar Colective scientists, I just forget who right now.

The a stranger is an exo, so no.
-
In my opinion no,if my memory is correct Isn't the stranger an exo. Perhaps she was the stranger and has had an opposite reversal compared to cayde He was a human with a wife and family but because of past dealings caused him to Somhow morph into an exo,so possibly the opposite effect happened to her. We may never know unless bungie decides to expand the story or there might be Clues in the new Warmind dlc. I await patiently with bated breath.

1 ReplyI’m don’t really know the lore but I think the best guess was that the exo stranger was Pahenin

Edited by FdYAcsoyPKN83gLE: 4/25/2018 4:09:12 AMI ate chocolate dust and had a wild dream that I can provide as lore facts? Interested?

They really should change the "lore" tab to read "folklore," or at least "screw it, we're never gonna have enough time to make a cohesive story, so here's some interesting short stories."

10 RepliesAna Bray is human. So, no.
