Getting bored of the same three meta kinetics (midnight, devils, origins).
Would like some opinions on what you think the best alternative scout to midnight is (kinetic slot only please).
The only ones I've used so far that seem to perform well are Garden Prophecy and Mida, all the others seem subpar.
All opinions are welcome, thanks in advance guardians

2 RepliesThe best scout rifle (imo) is the Cocytus SR4. If you're lucky then you'll be able to get a nice roll from the gunsmith when the package comes in. I went with triple tap, extended mag and firefly. Oh, you mean in D2. Nameless Midnight. Nameless Midnight or maybe Nameless Midnight. Mida if you want 3rd eye, seeing as they seem to have taken that perk away from every other scout rifle.

1 ReplyI use Purpose on my warlock, super nice scout. Way back in the day I used to use Does Not Compute, haven't tried it since before CoO though.

1 ReplyIf you can master Jade Rabbit, it can put serious damage down range. It is a long distance scout though. I have not had a ton of success at “close” range with it. Garden Progeny is crisp. I like it.

I have been using Frontier Justice since the game came out. Very crispy sound and feel. Became really good in PvE after the update. Jade Rabbit is excellent as well. Just make sure you have close range covered with an auto rifle, sidearm,!sub in energy or a sword in power

2 RepliesEdited by Werewolf_spe: 4/25/2018 2:54:03 PMIf you can keep your distance, Frontier Justice is awesome. Also Jade Rabbit.

I prefer The Steady Hand to Better Devils.

Edited by SmashvilleViking: 4/25/2018 12:04:30 PMThe Purpose. You can get it from Trials drops (including clan engrams). Call to Serve isn't bad either. It has pretty good balance, and Triple Tap can be useful. It's not as hard hitting as Nameless, but it's not bad. It drops from Devrim.

Mameless Nidnight.

2 RepliesEdited by HollowedWayfarer: 4/24/2018 11:18:30 PMCall to Serve is pretty good. Garden Prophecy is good as well.

17 RepliesNone, becasue all the other kinetic scouts suck more than midnight.

4 RepliesIn D1, all three of my guardians usually had a scout on, and there were plenty of great options to choose from. My Warlock used Vision of Confluence in year 1, then the Doom of Chelchis in year 2, to a rampage/explosive rounds Cryptic Dragon in year 3. My Titan went from Song of Ir Yut to Hung Jury in all of years 2 and 3. In year 1, my Hunter alternated between Fatebringer and Mida, then I went with Treads Upon Stars that healed on kills for survivability. In Destiny 2, there's just Nameless Midnight and Mida. That's it. I am not a pvp guy and I'm the last remaining member of my clan, so I have no chance of getting the Trials scout. I can't help but be a little disappointed with the selection so far.

5 RepliesEdited by CookieNiki: 4/24/2018 7:18:22 PMHung Jury with Triple Tap, Hand Laid Stock and Firefly. Add to that: 48 Impact 97 Stability 60 Range 75 Reload 66 Equip Speed ...and you got a beast of a Scout Rifle. Oops, wrong game.

2 RepliesSong of Justice. it has auto loading holster so its good for picking off a few enemies before jumping into the fray. my main problem with scouts is that they're a ranged weapon in a game that heavily favors close encounters. so there is rarely ever a reason to use one outside of patrols. same with sniper rifles.

What about the Purpose?
-
I read the title as kinsect at first lol

5 Repliesmida and nameless midnight are the best... actually nameless midnight is the best, why would you want others
-
Call to serve for triple tap Trials one for explosive
-
6 RepliesI particularly like Purpose. 200 RPM and explosive rounds.
-
2 RepliesIf you have or get the Jade Rabbit it should make you happy as a substitute. Did for me since nameless was all I ran. Only thing is using an exotic slot, but it's a great gun.
-
5 RepliesI personally like the Hakke options, hard hitting and accurate. Downside is they're only available during the Faction Rally. Another good one is the one available from Devrim, the one with triple tap.

Edited by zmach1: 4/24/2018 8:22:19 PMMost kind of are subpar. Particularly in PvE. Hopefully, with the next DLC, there will be better options. Without explosive rounds or dragonfly/firefly in PvE, the kinetic scouts just don’t feel all that satisfying. Frontier Justice and the NM Hakke scouts are decent. Actually not bad at all. If they had explosive rounds they would be top tier. I liked Good Counsel the best. I miss the scouts from D1. They were my go to guns and there were plenty of good options.

1 ReplyTruth is nothing beats NM as u know. Even the ones mentioned below. Bungie needs to come up with something unique
