1 ReplyGotta be quicker then this guys. These time frames are literally killing you. Other companies are pushing out new game every other month, current games are making ten times the major updates in the frame you do one. It's slay or be slayed in this business. Through necessity there's innovation.

1 ReplySo TWAB is basically a copy pasta of things said in the bounty stream? At least you are consistent in reusing old assets.

You were vague on every single question and didn’t give definite answers about anything. That’s like straight up bluffing to stock holders about your company performance. We see right through it, JUST LIKE LAST TIME. Your game is trash and you still haven’t admitted it. Your systems are trash and your reasons to change them were too. We are all asking for D1 Year 3 back and get you can’t get that through your thick skull. It doesn’t take a genius to realize this. Who cares what you though would work, just give us D1 Year 3 and we’ll go from there. No need to try and alter anything.,..

i just like that bungie has lowered the bar on communications so low that this level of vagueness is being praised as communicating

You guys are a joke.

My names Reginald from Reginalds Tee Pee and Yurt Emporium.... Boy do I have a great Tee Pee or Yurt for you!!! My high quality tee pees and yurts are perfect for summits, gatherings, family reunions, and goverment sit downs! Just like your business philosophy all our tee pees and yurts are completely 100% made from recycled materials through a painstakingly slow and obscure process. I'd be happy to offer a discount on one of many products we carry for your happy fun rainbow time meeting... so call and get one now!! (Similar to your patch and update times our lead times are painfully slow so..... call now)

8 RepliesEdited by Black Magic: 4/6/2018 3:32:40 PMI don’t see anything about TTK being decreased. Is the studio afraid to admit their mistakes or am I insane? It’s been +6 months; it’s one of the most requested changes after Weapon rolls and the gun system. Tomorrow will be 7 MONTHS. Welp: as of today, is officially 7 MONTHS

3 RepliesBungie’s continued need to deny and/or hedge around its blatant failures only prolongs the inevitable. The game and possibly even the company is dying of a thousand self inflicted cuts. The only hope this game and the studio has and the only way Bungie can attempt to claw back any respect from its players’ is to offer the expansion for free to all Destiny 2 owners. It’s the least Bungie can do to make up for the disaster that is Destiny 2.

So I read the whole TWaB twice just to make sure I didn't miss anything. You could have more easily summarized the whole thing by just stating: "This Week at Bungie, we just don't give a shit anymore." You took the time to acknowledge some of the community questions/concerns (it's obvious that you cherry-picked the dogshit out of the sampled questions), but then used every single PR-bullshit-spin in the book to avoid actually answering any of them. All of your answers boil down to: "Ummm... yeah, we see you asked a question... all we can say is; you had that stuff -years ago-, but it will take us months and months to give back/fix/update that stuff, but nothing concrete because all we can do is 'look into it'... but the unnamed unknown updates will be dribbled out in 5-6 month intervals that just -happens- to coincide with paid DLC drops. That's just a coincidence though... really... we swear that it is..." Again, a whole mountain of "nothing", with 5-6 month intervals between the smallest content drops of any online-only persistent world game in the market and the "updates" are the smallest on the market as well. Yet for you assholes, they're "major"!?!? You guys may as well shut the servers off and hang it up. There's no coming back from the place you've taken this franchise.

I like that youre actually acknowledging random rolls and D2's inferiority to D1 & not being able to choose crucible modes & special weapons... but still no massive changes/rollbacks announced? Just pathetic stuff like nightfall emblems & you removed nightfall modifiers and removed auras? What the hell??? Where's torrent gone? Not going to actually fix anything that you broke?

Summit, eh? Would you improve communication and cooperation with the community if the community reps got up from the table like Reagan did at Reykjavík and told Gorbachev to go screw?

1 ReplyEdited by gallp13: 4/6/2018 6:28:34 PMTWAB IS GOOD Here’s why .... 1. Discussion about current and future improvement remains in the open. 2. Processes for involving Community in dev program are strengthening 3. Most exciting D2 is moving from “exotics adding features to enhance a build” (adopted 2nd half year 1 D1) to “exotics are powerful again” a la first half Y1 D1. THIS IS FANTASTIC and so very much appreciated! Suggested improvements; 4. The game is more complex than most with lots to test and balance required with every change. Patch delivery program is completely understandable at the current resource level and rate of effort. Personally I am happy with the rate of change. Regrettably most folk don’t understand the dev process and expect a higher rate of change. I strongly suggest Bungie identify and implement ways to compress critical path by up to a month. This will help strengthen retention and attach rates. Happy to discuss why with if interested. 5. Further to item 3 above. I completely understand your TTK approach. I agree it is prudent see the exotic tweaks role out and then let the new meta emerge from the trifecta of new exotic, character power, weapon patches. It’s important to take stock then look at where TTK lands before determining the need for, and degree of, TTK tweak. I suspect you have run this combo on your test servers and have developed a view but the delta between a test environment results and the potential player experience in the wild probably is too large to buff TTK on a test spin up. Notwithstanding, the majority of the Community, including influential voices, don’t get this and have fire and pitch forks ready for the inevitable GREAT TTK SCANDAL. While getting a few Community members in is a good move, Paul to Saul and all that, you are not getting cut through on this issue. Could I suggest something bold? Address this one head on ..... have a joint Community-Bungie facilitated and streamed TTK panel debate. Mix up the teams have Community and Bungie employees who favour lower TTK now and Community and Bungie folk who suggest it be adjusted once the meta has emerged slug it out. Let Bungie and Community together vote on the winner in the following week. Imagine the positive effect on Community Bungie relations emerging from quality public dialogue and you just might get some useful dev inputs ...... hmmmm Thank you Bungie and please keep going. gallp13

1 ReplyEdited by GrinderNo1: 4/6/2018 7:51:27 AMonce again, 6 pages of random mumbling that in actuality equates to little more than "yeeeah... we're err... we're definitely doing some stuff!" honestly, the more you lot bang on about how much effort you're making to be more transparent with us the more affronted I become. especially as whenever you actually do give us an answer it's one we don't want to hear. I've been a true die hard fanboy of this game since I started playing a few weeks before TDB dropped and if you'd told me a few weeks before D2 dropped that I'd barely be playing within a few months and seriously on the verge of giving up on the franchise all together after 6 months I'd have laughed in your face for suggesting that a person could go from nigh on obsession to almost utter ambivalence in such a short time and yet, here I am... so much potential wasted and good will destroyed purely as a result of sheer lazy entitlement on behalf of Bungie's upper management. such a shame.

Bungie? They did good shh on the halo series.....but D2? Man you guys fell off!

Soccer at the farm is horrible. Like wtf

Truly it is a momentous day at Bungie. This is the first time I have EVER seen a TWAP post lower than top billing. It's Art. Better than a Da Vinci, even.
