I love that you had to 'learn' that you shouldn't take out all the cool elements of the game... This statement is why you all are so bad at this and why D2 is such a failure. It illuminates how incompetent your design decision are. If this game even survives a second year it will basically play completely differently from the ground up...

Looked alright, will have to play it to see if the changes are actually make much of an impact good or bad. For now I would say the move to buff rather than wholesale nerf is nice. It will be interesting to see if changes to mobility will actually make the stat relevant again so that I don't just go for survivalist gear almost all the time.

What hot weapons?!? You mean those spray and pray ARs? So now everything will fire that quickly and good times will be had by all? Oh you want more power ammo! For Shotguns that shouldn't be power weapons and underperform anyway! Oh, more rockets that take forever to reload...good times. You think this is what will bring people back? What a joke.

What hot weapons? There are some weapons that are slightly less mediocre than the others, but I would certainly not call them hot. So to surmise, this is an attempt to bring weapons slightly above mediocrity, at best.

6 RepliesDid I hear that correctly? "Instead of nerfing, we're bringing everything else to them" as in buffing things instead of nerfing. Damn, took them what, 4 years but now they're catching on. Don't care to much about the speed, I can play fast or slow, it wasn't an issue to me to begin with. What I'd be curious of is how much more are they going to bring heavies back, I guess increase them a little but don't make it obnoxious like it was in D1. As for abilities: PvE 👍 pvp 👎 ability spam is just another obnoxious thing that was in D1 but maybe they won't raise them up to that degree.

Lol they think they can save game by improving PVP. Any word on enemy AI improvements I hate the fact that they just blindly rush you.

Nice to see the sandbox team are finally taking a different approach to balancing. Have to disagree about some weapons being considered “too hot” for D2. If anything the problem is that most weapons are just too cold.

nope, there is no "hot" weapons, they basically all suck. thos ehot weapons are just pile of sh*t that are just slightly smelling better thant the others. you should really play your game once in a while, especially trials, because nobody can find it fun.
