Might as well change the name to Dresstiny since cosmetic items are the endgame.
None of the gear matters.

Haha, it's true. The only reason I have played lately is to grind my illuminated engrams for each character so that I can delete everything I get for bright dust so that when the new "expansion" comes out I can get whatever exotic emote they'll have that will never drop from an actual engram in the first couple weeks.

Pretty much since you can adjust armor stats accordingly to what you want. Don’t say I didn’t warn you when Mattel releases the Barbie: Space Edition with guardian outfits. [spoiler]Legend says that the guardian that has the best looking gear from Eververse will have immense power. No one has reached this state yet.[/spoiler]

You know I actually find the idea of what my armor theme is to be fun. For example my warlocks void class is themed around Hit from dragon ball. Stormcaller is themed around the idea that the armor is designed to harness and conduct electricity for maximum affect, and has an experimental jurry rigged look to it. Dawnblade is less creative, but basically a more fiery angelic knight. Not saying the game shouldn't be doing more, but what's there has value still despite it not being appealing to you.
