First, sorry for the angsty title. Seems to be the only kind of forum posts the moderators or Bungie team members consistently respond to.
Long story short, I have not been able to play my digital copy of Destiny 2 since I first installed it two weeks ago on my Xbox One S. I am able to start the game and select my character. However, the game will consistently freeze after only about 5 minutes of play.
My troubleshooting seems to indicate the console is not the issue. Likewise, I have seen consistent results with Destiny 2 freezing during gameplay using various network connections. See spoiler below for all the steps I've taken to date.
I'm not sure what else to do. No joke, with the amount of time I've put into trying to fix this issue I could have completed the main campaign and started on another play through. At a certain point, the effort is simply not worth it anymore--which is a bummer because I've been a fan of Bungie since the Halo days.
What's it take to get in touch with some real support from the developer? These forums are a great place to start, but having to rely on the players to figure things out for themselves sucks. Looking for some real answers otherwise I'm just going to try to get a refund back for the friend who gifted me this digital copy. After all, it's not doing me any good as it is.

[spoiler]I recently received a gifted, digital copy of Destiny 2 on Xbox One. However, the game consistently freezes during gameplay.
I am able to launch the game and select my character without fail. Yet, usually within 2-10 minutes of gameplay the game will freeze. Sometimes this occurs during a mission. At other times, the game will freeze during a loading screen.
I completed Xbox One's support guide for this issue ( https://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/troubleshooting/game-freeze-solution ). Quit the game, restarted the console, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, soft console reset, and even did a factory reset. None of these steps resolved my issue.
I contacted Xbox's support chat. In the end they suggested contacting the publisher as I had already exhausted their troubleshooting guide for potential console issues.
Are there any solutions for (gifted) digital copies of Destiny 2 freezing on Xbox One?
[b]Update:[/b] Decided to try some network testing today. First, I ran my wireless router using Port Forwarding (per Bungie's advanced troubleshooting guide) and then with UPnP only. Neither mode resolved the freezing issue.
I also tested my network using a wired connection. First, ran it through the router with no success. Second, ran the connection through the modem directly and even that froze after 30 minutes of play. (Typical session duration is still about 5 minutes or less for the other methods.)
Ran a connection test with each configuration type and the results for all were similar. Download speed: 60 mbps. Upload speed: 10 mbps. Packet loss: 0%. MTU: 1480. Latency: 66 ms. Wireless strength: 100%.
So, still no progress. At this point I've put more effort into the game than it's worth, which is a bummer because I really enjoyed Destiny 1. Probably just going to look into a refund unless someone is able to chime in with a solution that works.[/spoiler]
